See in the local that RT is giving Bertie a chance , maybe its time to forgive BUT not forget ,we all no on the day he can win us a game , we all no he`s a quality player and he might be the deciding factor in 2morrows game . Some people might think different , i for one am not impressed with the situation but if he can help us to a win then so be it .UP THE GATE and can`t wait till 3pm.

I haven't seen the paper, but if Bertie gets a chance it will be good for everyone. The current situation is a no-win on all sides. Whatever differences there are or have been between both parties, there must be a middle way, and I for one would like to see that utilised for the good of the club.

Remember how he ran AFC ragged at the away game last year? I'd like to see him do that again.

I too am getting quite excited about tomorrow.

I think it will be our best crowd this season to date.

would be funny if he scored and no one cheered ,that would have to be a first . Its a shame because it was us who have found out what he really is like after all the clubs he`s been to , hope he realises that he can not mess the club around anymore , no one seems to want him so maybe RT has decided to use the talent that he has , a few of us that have been watching the Res`s have said how well he`s been playing so lets see .

[color:"blue"]As has been said above, the idea of putting Bertie back into the first team squad must be of a benefit to all parties. The situation for most of the season so far is that we have a weak bench. There we have players who can 'fill in' for injured / out of form starters, but no-one whose introduction may 'change the game' - step forward Mr Brayley ... at last some substance on the bench.

In the Gazette Robin says he still wants Bertie to leave, but must now realise that unless he performs at this level the scouts will not persue him.

Now Robin, how about getting Yiga and Sesay onto that bench too?

I'd much rather have Robinson on the bench than Yiga. Just don't see where Yiga can add anything. No pace, ability to beat a man and poor in the air for his height. Bertie is a different animal though and I'd like to see him on the bench. Robinson is a good option and there are Smith & Oates who would have to be in the mix for a place on the bench. Who knows whether Sesay will be here or not tomorrow? Adds much more competition for places with the return of BB.

I think if he scored, most would cheer. I certainly would. I want us to win, and I like to watch talented footballers ply their trade.

At the end of the day, the team, the match, and the result is the most important thing.

After all, I do not know all the ins and outs of the situation, and am therefore in no place to judge anything but that which I see in front of me on the park.

Very true Mark.If Trotty decides to play Bertie it wont be out of desperation thats for sure so an appearance I would have thought will have shown that things had been ironed out to suit both parties but especially the club.

I have always admired his skill. His talent is undoubted.Theres no question about that. How he performs with other talented players we have here will be interesting to see.

I agree. To have him on the bench or better still to be included in the original line up would be a massive boost for us.However we mustnt forget that he HAS held this club to ransom lately & thats something that wont have been forgiven easily.Having said that,if played,he will surely have found a way of convincing Trotty & the club that he wants to knuckle down at last & try & make amends. If he has sorted that side of things out & Trotty accepts it then Bertie on that field will do for me 100%.If he plays then Trotty has the belief in him again & Bertie should think himself lucky to be given a second chance at it with our club & with Trotty.I hope Bertie DOES get out there & score a goal or two.

I think there will be cheers aplenty I'm sure of that.As you say June its the teams result that counts at the end of the day no matter who it is that wins it for us.

Not only that but we have Jay back too temporarily. Two more classy players to go with those that we already have.If they can help us win games then absolutely great.Would be nice to give Jay an extra round of applause tomorrow in the same way that Bertie should be given one if selected or be put on the bench.

Further to the above. My thoughts are that IF Bertie were to be giving his chance tommorrow it will surely come from the bench. But what an option to have.Would definately have the opposition sitting in awe of such an option available to us.

As per above-time to forgive and move on.

Its not just about RT and BBof course-its how the other players react to BB but a great option for a substitute appearance.

AS Peter Wells says, our bench is just so weak with no match changing options.

Maybe i've just seen the wrong(3 games) but i can't quite see what the fuss about Robinson is all about. Not really at this level yet imo. but hopefully he will get there and wish him well.

"hartsdown fan". With out going into to much detail, IF Bertie plays tomorrow we all need to wish him well and give him our support. We need to cheer and encourage his every move, any other would be counter productive and be no good for either Bertie or the club. Any negativity on our part as supporters will lead to a negative display on the pitch.

blueblood i myself will cheer him on , what i was trying to say was , this has been a very raw subject with some surporters and to bring it up again was a chance taken , but with what has been said so far its all very positive which is something we and the club did`nt have 2-3 weeks ago . Now we`ve just got to get on with the future , not the past .UP THE GATE .
