MFC vs Potters Bar Town – live commentary

I heard a rumour CK was going to Maidstone.

Team were pants today.

In fairness to the ref he had to send our 2 off.

McKimm should be hammered for his violence. No excuse.

Trott sold SCS short on the back pass.

I have been on holiday. Who are Holden and Watson is it?

No sign of Abbo, Aaron or Greg, although Greg has just become a dad.

We don't want to step back in time with all that 3-5-2 nonsense. RT should be given the rest of the season to prove himself unless we drop into the relegation zone.

Today was rubbish and we are going to lose players to suspension. It's going to be an uphill struggle. Let's see what Trott is made of.

Guys, I'm really sorry but my laptop has stopped talking via the club's wireless network hence not commnetary today. I will be looking into this over the next few days. In the meantime, I will be making the recorded commentary available later this evening.

Again, sorry for any inconvenience caused.

Look, we're supposed to be watching the football! See if you can hear the piece I was "kareokying" to from the recorded commentary!

Thanks Frankie! <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

Unlucky Margate. Only two weeks ago we felt the pain of getting knocked out in the FA Cup. It also hurt (not much though because it's the railway cup) to go out to Dover, a team one league below us.

You should bounce back from this blip and hopefully, as the league table's already suggesting, it will be extremely close (with the Rams eventually prevailing) between the two Thanet sides either for the play-offs or even the championship.

I was very impressed with your number 7 today. Dominated the game, broke up the play well and started off most of your attacks. And, of course, took his goal superbly well. Congratulations on the win. Best of luck in the next round...

Thanks, Michael.

Yes, Gabriel Fanibuyan was injured when Mike Flanagan came to watch us the other week so he was a bit of a trump card today. We also had three other players that hadn't been seen - one who didn't play against Maldon and two who came on as sub to change the game for us after Mike had gone home - so I was always quietly confident of us giving a reasonable account of ourselves.

I noted in the programme editorial that you had three players definitely out injured but they all played! Were they playing through their injuries or was that meant to be a red herring?
