Good Luck in the League - Part 3 (The Umpire Strikes Back !)

Well Margate FC, here we go - into Christmas!

Since I bravely started the 'Good Luck' thread we have done the following -

Scored 8, yes 8 goals!

Conceded only 1 goal

6 points

TOP OF THE LEAGUE!

And yet most people still seem to think you are under-achieving. Well, as far as I'm concerned, keep on doing it! At this level we cannot possibly expect you to play football as if you were in the Premiership! You are by far and away way too good for this league and the Conference South beckons with warm, opening arms.

You all know how good you are and can be, so I ask one thing - step it up! You have three crucial games in the next two weeks - some of you may even know how important the game on Boxing Day is to all of us! Win these games, claim the 9 points you so readily deserve and march relentlessly on to the League title in April!

Oh, by the way, I would like to be the first to wish the squad, club and all supporters of MFC a very happy and footballicious Christmas!!

Two minutes into the game on Saturday some of the old Grumpies in the crowd were starting to moan!

Pleased to say you shut them up with a vengeance.

The home game bogey hopefully has now been laid to rest.

Good luck on Saturday and for all the holiday season games!

LET'S ALL HAVE A VERY HAPPY CHRISTMAS

Agree AB, it really bugs me to hear people moan straight away but by the end of the match it was rubbed straight back into their faces by the team. Keep fighting and battling like you did last Saturday lads and once again we should all come away with a smile on our faces on Saturday against Ashford, and a spring in our step ready for the big Boxing day derby.

Come on you "blues". Before the derby game we have a job to do down there at Ashford. Focus! More of the same commitment & fabulous footballing skills as lately please.Lets get another three points again on Saturday & we will go into that Derby game at least 4 points to the good of the Reds, still with a game in hand.Good luck & good performance again please.Keep up the momentum. Consistency will be a decisive factor in winning this league or at the very least gaining promotion. You are a good squad so keep believing in yourselves. Continue with the great efforts you have been giving us all.

Please don't falter as you have the previous two times you have topped the league. Its now time now for consolidation. You are more than capable of offsetting the fact that we stand tall amongst others & that we are there to be shot at! Now we are top lets try & stay there this time!

Blues Blues Mighty Blues!

When you play with passion you never lose!

Guys that is what we need to see on Boxing Day, plenty of blood and thunder football played from the heart, we will be there to inspire you to greatness by using the electric atmosphere to lift you to the level of football that we all know that you achieve!

We need the whole team to battle like warriors to become the victors and have all the glory that they so richly deserve!

What time are you all going to be at Deadwood on Boxing Day, so I can meet up with you all for the build up to the game and meet some fans who I dont yet know?

Lloydy T - Fantastic to see your support but don't forget there is a game before that big one on Boxing Day!! Lets take each game one at a time and get behind our mighty Blues!

Sorry Cookie/Tony, I just thought that the team have been playing with a lot more passion of late, but they are going to need as much passion as they can muster in a fiercely contested local derby!

But if they can show the same level of passion for all our remaining games this season then that is all we can ask, 11 players all giving 110% and showing that never-say-die persona and then watch them hopefully reap the rewards!

Hope you enjoy the game on sat and that the team do us all proud with well deserved 3 points!

Nothin personal matey!!! I think quite a few of us are definitely purveyors of 'taking it one game at a time'! I, amongst many others am drooling at the prospect of that Boxing Day match!! Now I have to go and wipe my keyboard, its covered in drool....... <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/chat.gif" alt="" />

Well put, ooh! bf wouldn't that be great to be able to sing repeatedly 'We are top of the league' for the whole game while our team do us proud on the pitch!

No offense taken Tony, i'm just an excitable, keen and passionate supporter that can get carried away sometimes!

Blues! Blues! Mighty! Blues!

You're a credit already Lloydy! We need more keen supporters - maybe you can encourage more of your friends to come support the mighty Gate!

Thank you tony it's nice to be appreciated once in a while, I keep trying to bring along friends and family but to no avail a lot of them just don't like watching football, they would rather stay in and kepp warm than watch football in the cold! I'll keep trying tho!

Have you been to watch one of our supporters fixtures yet?

If not come and watch us against dover, you won't be disappointed by the passion that we show during our matches!

I wish I could matey! Have enough trouble getting away from the bread knife for away fixtures let alone the 320 odd mile round trip to HDP for home fixtures! I shall keep supporting all of you from the wilds of Oxfordshire none the less. I enjoy hearing of all the supporters team exploits and the continual winding up of one Mr R Butler!!
