Passage and India, maybe shouldn't be mentioned in the same breath !

The word back, springs to mind !

My favourite Indian is called "A taste of Mogul"

The Shahenshah in Hertford Town Centre is also quite tasty...

I am feeling in the modd for a ruby now...

I can now confirm that in our local Indian, dhansak does NOT come with rice of any sort.

Another funny northern quirk, apart from the chip shops only being open for 15 minutes every alternate Michaelmas, is that they don't bring the pickle tray with your poppadoms unles you specifically ask for it.

You've got to watch 'em with that pickle tray.

They can charge about 50p to a £ for every spoonful of pickle you take !

You poor soul! Our closest is 40 miles away. You could always do what hubby did. After moving here and finding out there wasn't a curry house nearby, he persuaded the wife to start making them.

I fancy a curry, but I think we're stuck with Toad in the Hole this evening.

(No comments from the States, Perleeeez !)

Nope !

It has to be with extra hot English mustard and onion gravy !
