New Signing: Reiss Noel

Recommended Posts

St Albans City manager Ritchie Hanlon has completed the signing of 18 year-old defender Reiss Noel following his release from Southend United. Reiss (pictured) is a victim of the current financial constraints at United following their relegation, and Ritchie Hanlon moved swiftly to secure his signature following conversations with his ex-team mate,Steve Tilson, who is in charge at Roots Hall.

Firstly Kurt Husnu wasn't 'signed' in the true sense of the word. I prefer the espression 'given an extended trial', and after 45 minutes, he was found wanting. I'm not sure that he was actually an ex-shrimper anyway. I'm not sure that the Declan Perkins who wore the yeller & blue in the Castle era is the same Declan Perkins who graced the hallowed turf at Roots Hall on a couple of occasions in any event.

Now Mark 'Beardo' Beard is an ex-shrimper in the true sense of the word. and Reiss 'The First' Noel had a good 'un yesterday, I hear.

And I also hear that a real cult hero from The Blue Boys was at Kettering yesterday watching from the side-lines. If he is seriously on Ri(t)chie's radar, you will see some real kwality.

Not sure where you heard that but I would say he had a so so game. Best players on view yesterday were Elphick, Lopez and Beard. Only my opinion of course.
