More lies from ricay

Talking of Ricay, Gary Calder was at the Canvey v Romford reserve match on Wednesday night. We won 8-0, Berquez got 4. I reckon he was looking at Matt Jones, or maybe even Dave Gregory (though it's more likely to be Jones!)

They asked people to email them questions to the chairman and promised to answer all of them in next weeks programme, not only are they not going to publish them in the programme they are only prepared to answer each question to the asker or in private letters at end of March. The people of Basildon will not even get a look in.

Not strictly true. The questions and answers will be in the supporters association news-letter. The "people of Basildon" didn't ask any questions, and I doubt whether they'll be particularly interested in any of those that were asked which are mostly to do with player's comings and goings and whether Calder will remain as manager.

Don't want to start any internal arguments or sow any seeds of discontent, but before we at Canvey start knocking the arrangements at any other club for question & answer sessions with the management team, perhaps we ought to look at our own set-up at Park Lane!

Correct Merv but looking at life as it really is we have Canvey in the hands of a benevolent dictator with communication not seen as a major issue because the club is successful and producing the desired end product

Basilricay is a Limited company who it can be said have spent a few seasons showing promise but failing to produce the end product with lack of funds raising its ugly head year on year

With a limited company the executive management are responsible to the shareholders

Basilricay will continue to have problems with punters for as long as the end product (in perception) is seen annually to be held back by that executive management

"end product" in my opinion the offering of a product that excites before and during the event leaving material for smiles, frowns and deep emotional conversation after the event

Then start all over.
