Went ot the game last night expecting to see loadsa goals one each plenting of action but kept seeing Yellow and RED flash before my eyes.

 

Geat goal line clearence by Banstead in the 1st half and fantastic block from about 3 yards out by the RPV keeper with a couple of mins left.

 

Did not here anything about RPV manager after the game.

Got a text from a committee member at RPVFC around 11pm.

I was at RPVFC for 7 years before joining CWUFC this season.

Have to say I'm not sure what has happened there.

Apparently who I thought was the manager last night wasn't and I am told he was not at the game !!!!

 

Did he walk or was he pushed ??

Probably resigned after that terrible result against the Chicks, must have been humiliating for them.

Statement from Lee Dobinson Taken From RPVFC Message Board.

 

"After speaking to Steve (Smith) last night I asked him to make sure everyone at the club knows the reason for me leaving the club.

He said to write a letter and he would read it to the committee. So I thought I would post a statement on here (RPV Message Board)instead.

I came back from holiday on Monday morning.

On Monday night I received a phone call from Mark my assistant, stating that, while I was away, Rick Cook (Chairman) & Steve Smith (General Manager) ask him if he would take over as the 1st team manager.

I had no idea this was happening, and they had not discussed this with me.

I feel I have been stabbed in the back by these people not only in football terms but as friends.

They couldn’t wait a week and speak to me to my face, and did it when I was miles away.

I thought RPV were better then that, and for that I apologise to the rest of the committee.

The Chairman posted that it was in the best interest of the club.

Well if you can dispose of someone who gave a lot of time and money to the club they must be better off then I thought.

I’ve not done anything wrong here apart from putting RPV before anything in the past.

I’m not only annoyed but upset because I did enjoy the social side at RPV which I’ll miss.

I am not going to answer any question on here (RPV Message Board).

If people wish to speak to me ring me.

That’s all I have to say apart from wishing the team well in the future."

It sad when someone gives his all for little or no money and is treated so shabbily.He is not the first CCL manager and probably won't be the last to be treated like this this season.Surely it is just common courtesy to thank someone and inform them that their services are no longer required face to face.All managers know that the only thing for certain when they take a job is that one day they will be sacked.

The least the representatives of the club should do is show a little respect and class.

What do you mean by "I was with RPV for 7 years and am now at CWUFC"?

 

Do you mean as a fan or a a volunteer or paid staff??
