I know I've had a drink (or two) but I could have sworn that I posted a reply to a thread only a few minutes ago that related to Gravesend and Northfleet and Fleet Fanatic. Err.... the whole thread seems to have disappeared or I've had more to drink than I thought???!

The whole thread has gone, so I guess it's been deleted.

I was a bit irked meself as it happens as I was just shaping up to wiping the floor with the pseudo frenchie but I think that the row 'tween Ian-w and the lunatic despot from the fleet must have been the issue...

a new 'm' has appeared...oh look...fleet have a new moderator...golly gosh.....

is this a new beginning on this forum where banter and humour and gentle pi*s takes 'tween rival fans with respect abound or is it a continuation of the inquisition....

we shall shortly find out...

Not often you're right but your wrong again Urchin, been a mod for years. Still, as talking cr@p is your forte I'd expect nothing else.

Run along home now

oh I do get it right sometimes frenchie....I can assure you of that....

but hey...like your fellow deleters before you don't let the facts get in the way of a good post....

now then...a sensible question for you....

answer me these two questions please if you will.....

should people that moderate forums get involved in the banter on those forums or does such involvement get in the way of their objectivity in such matters....

should moderators be allowed to abuse and slander other posters....

be interested to hear your views please....

In all seriousness?

(1) I think it's fine for mods to get involved with the banter. It doesn't have to get in the way of their objectivity, and I think you'd be hard pushed to find anyone to do the job if you made that rule. I certainly wouldn't do it if it was the case, I like the banter on here. I think sometimes people take the whole thing a little too seriously but hey, that's not up to me.

(2) Personally I don't think that anyone should be able to abuse or slander other posters. Sometimes it can be hard to know if it's serious or not, there are things said on here that seem well out of order but turn out to be friends or family messing about. It's not always easy to tell.
Saying that, someone gives me grief I'm gonna have a go back, but it's never meant in a nasty way (from me at least), I don't know the people on here, I've met maybe three people that come on here. I can't see the point of getting worked up by someone you will probably never meet and is probably some spotty kid sitting with nothing better to do (present company excluded of course )

Don't give me any lip back either, I just ate a Bombay Bad Boy Pot Noodle and am feeling well hard lol.

Changing the subject completely AFF, do you know of any directory or something for finding people in the US? I had a very good friend in Houston that I kinda lost touch with and I'm gonna be in Florida in a month and would like to get in touch with her on the off chance that she would come visit.

No, they shouldn't. It isn't very professional, and sets a bad tone for the board. It also gives the board a bad name.

The whole thread has gone, so I guess it's been deleted.

All I said was....."It's not worth worrying about. G & N have always been protective of their Forum. They banned me a couple of years ago!"

I went on to say "Fleet Fanatic was probably carrying out the orders of their ex 'WebMaster'. Who I won't name"
(Even though he took it upon himself to reveal on the Forum exactly who I was)

Let's see if this thread now disappears!!!
