total disgrace

Recommended Posts

90 minutes, 2 shots on goal, one against the post

lose 6-1, to a team who a few months ago we would have given a run fo rtheir moeny, today we rolled over and played dead.

no heart or commitment

as was pointed out every time Brian was in the box or on the ball he fell over.

passing, we clearly dont do that any more

goal keeping, where the he££ was charlie??

At full time JC walked half way across the pitch and then turned around before he got to the players, and walked down the tunnel, personally I hope he keeps walking, Thanks for the last 6 years the winning ways and entertainment, but they are long gone

either the board need to do something, which I doubt they have the bottle for, or JC needs to be the man we know he is and go; the teams he puts out do not perform or entertain, enough is enough

I like many love this club, but enough is enough, if we dont make changes soon, we can kiss good bye to the play off

The most embarrassed I've ever felt as a Town fan.We have basically played with a reserve standard team for the last 6 weeks.A couple of narrow wins against poor opposition recently only papered over the cracks.

I've thought to myself several times this season that 'This is the worst starting 11 we have ever put out for a league game'.I thought that again today. I know we've got injuries/suspensions but the quality on display today was totally unacceptable.

I presume the new keeper was a necessity rather than being prefured over Charlie?.According to several Dartford fans, he let in 13 goals in two games against them last season. doah

Right lets look at the team.

Of the side we put out today, how many of them had started less than 5 league games for Town before today.Answer SEVEN

Keeper

Danny

Harvey

Hodge

Giorgio

Mitchell

Grieves

The fact that most of those players are nowhere near good enough to play for Enfield Town Fc,and never will be.(To see how far we've sunk in the last few months.Dean Nyman was released 6 weeks ago for not being up to standard doah).

Only four players out there at the start today actually started the season for us (when we were a damn sight stronger as a team).I feel as though i have been watching a reserve side for the last month, not our first team.Just look at the players were have lost this season alone,to those we have brought in.There is no comparison.

Morale is not there.Fight is not there.Pride is not there.Quality is not there.Even with everyone back fit, I'm finding it hard to see how Jim can now reverse all those trends.

I never want to see such a poor quality of starting 11 put in front of Town Supporters again, and i never want to see such a poor performance put on in front of Town fans ever again.

Dartford didn't play stunning football. They were workmanlike, orgainised, played percentages ,and were direct.Thats all they needed to be to open up Town everytime. The current Dartford side would probably fare no better than mid-table in the Ryman Premier.Hornchurch who ran away with this league last season, are finding the Premier a much harder league than last season. It shows that we would be shown up, if we went up and kept the current squad.

Setting aside the heartache which I share! I don't blame the players I blame the management. Keep it simple stupid - The players need routine. For Pete Hammatts benefit think of it like a soldier in the army. Keep repeating it until they do it in their sleep!

Tuesday 11

Hasler, Dannie, Nyamah, Tickner, Gant, Magona, Velandia, Hall, Crace, Mitchell, Grieves

4 days later the team is

Saturday 11

Foster, Dannie, Nyamah, Hodge, Harvey, Bastian, Georgiou, Hall, Crace, Hammatt, Grieves

6 changes in 4 days - We needed to go into that match with a settled side like Dartford. Correct me if I'm wrong but it looked like 1 change! Look at the programme and look how settled the Dartford team selection is!

We needed players with an understanding of how each other play! NOT experienced players! A lot of teams have played Dartford this season and beat them - Waltham Abbey managed to win there!

Another big game another Jim/Pete panic I'm afraid!

We lose our right side due to suspension everything then falls on Nyamah and Bast to get supply to the front pair! Dannie and Georgiou just weren't happening! This is what happens when we pick up too many bookings - Teams/Smug Refs punish us!

Midweek Mitchell made two for Crace and scored one. 4 days later he is on the bench!

New keeper straight in for a big game

Bryan straight back after a rest! I preferred Mitchell over Hammatt.

Most fans on the terraces preferred a front two of Foster and Crace up front with Hammatt behind them! Grieves doesn't currently make our first 11.

Finally do you ****ing homework and look at other teams it was obvious Dartford watched how Wingate and Finchley beat us and repeated the same stuff beautifully! Dartford deserved their win! Well done Dartford!

Jim / Pete - not good enough!

I thought Campbell had served his suspension on Tuesday. Why did he not feature today ?

When we were down ( but not out ) Grieves is replaced by a midfield player when Foster is on the bench ?

Can anyone answer these questions please :-

1, Why was Hassler replaced with the new keeper ?

2, What has happened to Yoxall ?

3, Where is the new lad West ?

4, Why did we revert to the old front line of Hammett and Crace ?

5, Why did Grieves keep playing right wing ?

6, What the hell did Georgio do today ?

7, Did anyone from Town watch the Darts before today ?

8, Why did the team not produce more than 2 shots on target all game when Darts keeper was oh so poor at stopping anything ?

9, Why does Hammett constantly go down when he gets the ball ?

10, Has Jim finally lost the plot ?

Something needs to be done, but by who ?

The Board do not seem to have any bottle to make any progress.

I have a feeling that they will put it down as "one of those games"

A very bad day to be a Town supporter.

No passion, no guts, a disgrace and it won't make any difference will it ?

I have said it before, so will repeat again -

Jim has so many players that he has not got a clue who to pick or what the hell his best 11 are. I suspect the supporters could pick a consistant 12 or 13 players to play ever game and get results.

This is what we will hear.

We are 6th in the table so what more do you want?

We are two points off a play off place, so what do you want?

What we really want is a decent side playing decent football. 8 needless free kicks were given away in the first eleven minutes today resulting in two goals, and there could have been more. What do we then continue to do? Give away free kicks! Why do we have players who keep falling over to try and con the officials? It looks stupid and just below park standard football.

Rudi Hall takes a good free kick. Does he really have to take nearly all of them? It really slows the game down when he has to march all over the pitch to pick up the ball, dust it off and then take it. By the time that's happened, the defence are all set up and marking our players!

Where were the defence today?

Let's be honest about today's performance. We were crap and it's been coming for some time that a team would give us a good hiding.

I just hope that no one comes on here and tells the whole world that we were unlucky on the day through suspensions and injuries. The players get suspended and it's down to them and no one else. Injuries happen, but we are told we have a big enough squad to cope. Earlier in the season we were told the squad was big enough and that we didn't need any more players. Now we are being told we do need some!

If teams around us win their games in hand then we drop down to 11th or 12th position. Tables do not lie. We have the third worst defensive record in the league!

Today was embarrasing. No fight. No heart. No leadership. No desire.

Dartford had all those qualities and we were lucky that they didn't play the second 45 minutes as they did the first. No doubt someone will say that we came good in the second half and ran them ragged!

Something needs to change sooner rather than later.
