Rhodes: Manic over-acting, poorly delivered monolgues that are unconvincing, a redundant knowledge of the relevant subject, an unbelievable interpretation of events and overly self opiniated.

As for Carrey I don't like him either.

Rhodes - you know nothing that is worth wasting my time with.

check out Sellers full cannon of work - try The Blockhouse, Never Let Go, Lolita, Dr Strangelove for example to see his versatility.

As for flamboyance well there's the Magic Christian, Henry Orient, Fu Manchu (poor but the guy was very ill) and his bewildering performance in Casino Royale.

thanks lato I will. Dr strangelove strikes me as the understated quiet man role. ive seen lolita but not sure if its the same one.

to be honest i dont know blockhouse and never let go, , sixties stuff?

chancey the gardener was the shuffling bumbler.

bit of a kiddies one for Jim but brought the character and spirit of the book out in a "series of unfortunate events".

TheSpursFan - I see you know your stuff and you never cease to amaze me. Did you vote for Peter Sellers or Jim Carrey out of interest, I hope it was the latter.

Happy enough so far with Ramos. he is not afraid to change things, or upset a few people. I wonder who he will keep and who he will be able to get in.Thats a big test of a manager, getting the best out of what youve got should be straightforward at their level. It's a basic requirement.

Poyet seems to have a good reputation.

Lato - Are you sure you didn't PM all SSML members other than me to lobby them to vote for Peter Sellers

Lato - I've only just noticed from your avatar that you reside in Northolt, are you near the airfield then. I've never imagined Northolt to be a very exciting area to live in but no doubt you will correct me if that's not so.

Well with voting time nearly up, the result is looking like a landslide. But then of course as electing officer I stand accused of tampering with the poll by sending a PM to everybody who might vote to do so in a way that would make rhodes look stupid.

I really cannot believe the result of this poll and suspect foul play

yes you've already suggested I told everyone to vote in a way to make you look stupid...which is actually a pretty stupid thing to say really.

Yes but I don't know what goes on inside your head do I, you seem a straight enough sort of bloke but it's certainly something that Football Man would contemplate doing as he's always looking for an edge

Lato - I know this thread is done and dusted now following Peter Sellers suspicious vote victory over Jim Carrey however I meant to ask if you have ever seen 'The Cable Guy', if so what did you think
