Edgware Town away

So can town be only the third team to beat Edgware this season? Why not? Or will JC play it safe and play for another boring Edgware draw which they seem good at?

I originally predicted a draw and given Edgeware's yen for draws I should probably stick with that.

 

But Town's good away form, even though it has been mainly against lower placed opposition definitely sees them in their with a chance of winning.

 

Town have been winning away despite their opposition scoring a couple of goals on most occasions.

This might be Edgeware's achilles heel in that they are having all sorts of problems scoring any goals at present....I had a look at their recent Match Reports... and with '35 For' are ranked very lowly in the League in that department.

 

Their miserly defence..'14 against'(next best in the League is 25 against) is their strength, with a bloke named Jason Fernee appearing to be the linchpin.

 

With Towns good away form, and the possibility that Edgeware will have trouble scoring and if Town can mangae to steer their attack clear of Fernee, a win may be on the cards.

I don't think a draw is good enough. I know there are still plenty of matches ahead but we really need to take all three points off Edgware. Too many of the other promotion contenders have games in hand over us.

Having beaten you already this season (and last season in the Middx cup) and having not conceded a goal 720 mins of Football (7 matches) we are in good form and we are NOT bore draw specialists are recent 0-0's at Bury and at home Ware on Tuesday were exciting tense affairs.

Four out of six draws all up have been 2-2...might have to hire a casual for the scoreboard....could see some goals at Edgeware Town.

Shortwood's home game was called off last night coz of the deluge..
