oh so it was you was it...my house backs onto the reservoir and I nearly shot two interlopers onto my land this morning....I hit a black billed hastings sea gull instead...serves the fcker right for getting lost...

Unc - is there any chance of you setting up a hide in your garden so that we can get a better view of the red crested pochards?

 

You could call it the Mentalist Hide and me and UM could both have keys to it.

 

You will be pleased to know that only two Chilean flamingos have been reported in Essex and one of them was at Hanningfield.

 

Somewhat disturbed to note that you shot the black billed hastings gull, as that means they are now extinct.

and when they are in their lair you can set the dogs on them.

UM - you seem to have missed the red crested pochards - next time you go, look in the right hand corner of the causeway, near to where it meets the main visitors centre - they are usually around that area.

 

And if you look the other side of the causeway there are usually loads of rabbits there (assuming Unc has not shot them all).
