The FA Trophy will be the only source of additional income this year. I am not confident we can do much there, I am not confident that we can defend the Middlesex Charity Cup and the Middlesex Senior Cup, forget it.

 

Something has happened at the club to give us this low confidence. I am wondering if the management I using the iron fist policy, you'll play in this position and this way and will not talk things over. This policy I have seen used before and it does not work. If players are playing out of position they cannot turn in the performances they want to. The management must start looking at themselves and asking themselves what are we doing wrong.

 

I have said in previous posts, that this management team are not working out. Is there conflicting views with the two managers. Those dual managerships there have been have all disappeared proving that they do not work satisfactorily. Something needs to be done before the season gets out of hand.

What to do about it is the hard bit. By all means sack the management, who were presuambly the best applicants for the position(s), but who can we bring in who is better?

I know we advertised the position initally,but i don't think we got round to interviewing anyone..We defered (delayed)inerviewing,then just decided to give it to the current duo.

Well OT at least we did not drop any points, but a good performance may have helped us out a bit for next week. Everyone was down after the game yesterday in fact a lot of the fans in attendance were down before kick off, I suppose they were hoping for a change in fortune.

This does concern me that the board did not entertain any other individual/s for the post. Our doors must always be open for applicants and we must also exercise a degree of equal opportunities, or are we a cliquey set up, hope not.

To be fair I think the appointment was an 'in house' appointment, involves less hassle and being familiar with whom they were gonna appoint.

Dont have a problem with that, made perfect sense at the time, especially at this level as Id guess all managers are much alike.

 

However I think Maldon made a very good signing with Stuart Nethercote, played at the highest level & has good contacts.
