CE why go to a club where he may not make 1st team and just sit in the reserves when ok down a league or two he can play 1st team footy every week . You no when you have a player who wants to play football because he will play because he wants to . Liam is`nt the sort of bloke to warm benches he has to get stuck in and if he wants to stay encourage him to , we`ve been moaning all season about the lack of experience , now we have it lets keep it . up the Gate .

Absolutely-build from the back .

Forwards win games, defences win you championships.

Someone needs to sit down with Liam and tell him the Sam Sodge story how after staying with margate for one more season, he got noticed by playing week in, week out for margate (at least when he was not suspended !!) and after brentfood, ended up in the championship.

I'm sure TY would put his name to the fore and must have as many connections as most which would eventually be to LH's benefit.

having said all that-is Dan Young that far behind LH in terms of quality-maybe not-and indeed-in 12 months time-how good is Wheatley going to be.

Because of his age and potential-Wheatley may leapfrog them both.

(is Wheatley as good as the maidstone youngster-forget his name-who went to Fulham in the first half of the season ? )

But we were in the Conference then, a much higher level than where we are now. You've also forgotten Smith, MM, who should be back next season, or even at the end of this one. When you have scarce resources you have to target them at the weakest areas of the squad.

i think this may be one of the situations where we have to take the risk financially to keep a quality player. we didnt do it over the summer and have ended up in a perilous posito]ion in the league. if we want to avoid something similar happening next season, we will have to risk a bit of money to secure the better players. they might win that money back by going on a cup run instead of falling at the first hurdle, like we did this season, but that wont happen if we let them all go...
