Div 1 Results (Sat 15 Aug)

BS have quite a lot of new players so I've heard. South Park beat us 2-0 but I didn't think they were all that. We gave them two goals.

Wonder if BS are splashing the dough a bit as I know some of their players wont be playing for free.

Fair play to them though, nice little ground and doing some work there.

CCL Results,

On the Mole Valley website it says todays match was postponed!

Is this true and a nominal 3-0 result inserted or did the game take place with that result and their website is wrong?

KnapMeister

Result is correct 1st's did win 3-0 at Coulsdon.

We are having a problem with the fixtures on the site - the game today was originally scheduled as a home game, but because of the ground problems we have had it was switched to Coulsdon.

Unfortunately Pitchero has not let me update the fixture as an away game, so the admin guy is looking into the problem.

Bedfont Sports have some good players there , about 3/4 new players , some from Staines Lammas, Bedfont green , a few more local clubs , they will do well in that league.

The ground looks really well, the Reader Family have done really well. a credit to them.

Good luck for the seson BS.

Went to South Park v Bedfont Sports the other day, very impressed by what i saw. South Park started off the better i must say but after the sending off of the centre half for SP and keeper for BS, BS went on to kill the game. Saman Kamani (hopefully spelt right) was different class. great feet. joe johnson will be a great signing as this proved on saturday.

One thing that i did enjoy in second half was a free kick. an indirect free kick. the referee clearly had his hand up for the free kick, but the south park centre forward went for goal. the goal keeper (bearing in mind he started upfront) casually allowed the ball to go in the back of the net to the astonishment of everyone in the ground i think. Obviously the result was a goal kick to BS. Very genius for a centre forward come keeper who had already had 2 head clashes in the first half before taking the gloves. Over all though very impressed by Bedfont Sports and maybe could be contenders by the end of season. Promising.

I suspect the make-shift keeper was Adam Turner who tried out in goal for BG at the start of last season and did okay to be fair so handy to have in the side. His younger brother Jack has turned pro in goal at AFC Wimbledon and his Dad Tony was a quality keeper and BG legend between the sticks.

I also watched the game on Saturday. South Park was on top for the first half but BS was a different side second half. They will score a lot of goals this season as in addition to the impressive kannini they also boast the divisons former top goalscorer Jay Coombes. They have a few other ex lammas faces too.

I think Sparky999 is South Park as well, so two now! Must try and get to a SP game this season as missed the Dorking game there last year.

This is all well and good but heard a little rumour a Step 4 club relatively nearby will be talking to management duo, when their manager 'moves on' in not too distant future! They can obviously attract a player! Would there be a big budget at BS??? Anyway with what I would guess would still be a bigger budget than they would have at BS, assume they would have to go. Would also assume some of the afore mentioned players would move on too?!? These days we all know players play for managers and not for clubs.
