Becoming a ref

Recommended Posts

I did a week long course - it was only a few evenings. That was followed by a test that should be easy for anyone who has spent a decent amount of time watching or playing football.

Then I think there's a scheme whereby you have to do 15 hours of refereeing before you become fully qualified or something.

This was about 8 years ago mind. Blimey, time flies doesn't it.

When I did it 15 years ago, it was either 8 or 10 weeks with an exam at the end. Looks like it has changed now. http://www.surreyfa.com/GetIntoFootball/Referees/NewCourses/

Good on you SL, you'll be good at it. You'll need clean boots every week though! ;)

Contact Surrey FA SL. Sure they will have all your details on file. And just for JJ I am as qualified to ref as you are to be a captain :)

A little snack after brekkie Kroons :snack:
