It'sa freezing and very frosty in Hertfordshire and with the weather not forecast to warm up I can't see any games going ahead tonight..

Looking at the forecast i cant see any games being played untill next week ! Minus 6 Friday night in some parts so this coming weekend could be snow go! :bartshocked:

I think we can safely say now that Haringey Borough v Tring Athletic will be postponed on Saturday

Herts Senior Cup game between St. Albans City V Royston will be postponed again until further notice. :gotcha:

Indeed confirmed as OFF by the St.Alebuns website - it also states:-

  Quote
A provisional date has been set for next Tuesday 12 January at 7.30pm but this is subject to confirmation from our opponents.

... presumably some negotiation is necessary cos Royston are scheduled to be at home to Brimsdown in the SSMP next Tue eve?

Jonno - Did you notice that the February fixtures are on the Mitoo site and Hoddesdon travel to Tokyngton Manor on Saturday the 27th, I'll have to dust off the red carpet.

Keeps - Have you actually been to the Viking Sports Ground to watch a game, it's not widely known as 'the hidden gem' for nothing

Rhodesly - am I right in thinking that you were in the Sudan and then the Great War and once put a hankerchief over your head, stuck a pencil up each nostril and then just muttered "wibble wibble"?

Anyway, I had not known that it was known as "the hidden gem" but thanks to you it's more widely known with this avid reader of your wisdom. Thanks.

wibble wibble.

It's only known as the "hidden gem" by you. To anybody else that has visited it is known as a right dump!

I have to say that the ground at viking sports is a dump and i do not understand how the league can possibly allow t/manor to play there again, i also understood that to allow teams to groundshare a mimimum of 1 year lease had to be in place, what was the lease with hanwell supposed to be?, it seems that the league do not enforce their own rules.

sjj2112 - can we be certain that you are not being over harsh here? After all, it may not be the ground but the people that are special?

Patrick - I'm not sure who you are or what Club you represent as you have only posted five times however I beg to differ. Like I said the ground is widely known as 'the hidden gem' and the Clubhouse is unrecognisable from last season when admitedly it was a little on the dreary side, it's amazing what a lick of paint and brighter lighting can do. Furthermore Tokyngton Manor do have a minimum of one year lease on the ground as our Reserve team already play there.
