I should really know off the top of my head but I assume these sort of Club's have floodlighting and can kick off at 3.00pm tomorrow as stated on Football Mitoo.

Rhodes I would have to say that Cranfield v WGC is the game of the day, a bottom of the table game.

Both teams have 12 points but WGC have won more games. Should be a very good scrap between the sides.

Love the Game - I really don't see how you can misleadingly call Cranfield United v Welwyn Garden City a bottom of the table clash as although, as you say, both Club's have twelve points, Amersham Town and Stony Stratford Town are beneath them

No I will not be attending. You don't appear to have been allocated a fixture tomorrow, is there any reason for that.

Horace - Haven't you seen Katya Virshilas or Kara Tointon. Also I'm a little dissolusioned after what happened at London Colney the other week, I didn't feel I deserved such treatment just for telling people a few home truths on an internet Forum

the 'high flying' Cranfield and WGC drew 1-1

Not a great result. But I guess a point is better the none.

Rhodes how was my post misleading??? Both teams are not in the top half of the table, they are not mid table they are in the bottom half of the table...making it a bottom of the table clash......But if you take a look now at the league table and you will find both Teams are bottom of the table with 13 points. Not a great return for halfway through the season.

A comprehensive report on this one from another's Forum:

Stotfold 3 Aylesbury United 3

Spartan South Midlands League Premier Division

In: £5

Prog: £1 (Very well presented 20 pages with loads to read)

Tea: 50p in a proper mug

Bovril: 50p - ditto

Mini Cheddars: 45p - didn't think there was any hot food until people started coming out of the club house with chips!

Crowd: given as 108, but my 1st half h/c was 75, majority from Aylesbury

In Hitchin today for a meeting - I never know why I pick particular games, but Stotfold was a good choice today. Perfectly adequate ground for this level. Large car park, which was jam packed by the end, bit dreary clubhouse with TV showing Scotland Rugby, friendly tea bar (but no sign to say hot food was inside) seated stand and covered standing down one side. There was no spectator access beyond the stand on that side, but hard standing round the other 3 sides - slightly raised on the dug out side to give a better viewing position. A dark foggy cold afternoon - first Saturday with lights on from the start for me this season - but the fog was not bad enough to threaten proceedings, though apparently it was, not far up the road.

I witnessed today probably the best passing football I have seen this season, and it came from the home team who still managed to be behind 3 times in the game. They possess two or three excellent ball players who looked a class above the norm for Step 5. If Hammers had one of Stotfolds central midfielders, Poole would have to watch out.

Stotfold started much the best, looking very creative, but Aylesbury took the lead after a lump over the top. With fast forwards they constantly exposed the Stotfold back 3. Standing behind the dugouts highlighted the contrast in styles - the all action, all shouting, much abuse of the Aylesbury manager (and his loud sidekick, getting over the 2 in the tech area rule by standing behind the rail) against the Stotfold manager leaning against the rail with an occasional instruction or comment - he appears to have more confidence in his players' judgement.

The score was still 1-0 at half time, but Stotfold came out with a small change dropping a wing back into a more conventional back 4, and tore into Aylesbury. They were level in 3 minutes, but 2 minutes later, behind again to a penalty which the Aylesbury crowd liked but I thought a bit harsh. It took 10 more minutes for Stotfold to equalise again with a well deserved goal after severe pressure, and this time you thought they would go on to win. Aylesbury were awarded a free kick, which should have gone the other way, and after several attempts and failures to clear, they were ahead yet again. Stotfold pressed again and after several good chances finally equalised for the last time with 5 minutes left. Best chances to win after that fell to Aylesbury with a succession of free kicks (some more dubious than others) and corners, but with the help of two or three good saves, Stotfold held out. It would have been a travesty if they had got nothing from today. This takes my goal tally to 30 over the last 3 Saturdays, so I can't complain about a lack of entertainment.
