Two other Hatfield sides benefitted at the weekend from the exodus; AFC Hatfield fielding Sam Lacey, Jay Welsh and Martin Standen, and Trevor Lloyd the week before; 8 Bells Old Hatfield fielding Jason Beck.

Shame in a way for AFC Hatfield as they had a strong emphasis on youth development – a sprinkling of experience would be a good thing but you don't want to drown out the next generation.

And did their prescence help AFC Hatfield regards the result at all?

What league do AFC play in too?

i think we can safely say it helped as afc won 3-2. 1 of only 4 wins this season!!!!!

herts county div 1......lets just say not the best standard. a half decent pub side would win the league!

I watched 20 odd minutes of our Reserves against Hatfield Reserves last night and they were certainly better than the rubbish I played against earlier in the season. From what I saw the game was pretty scrappy with not much quality from either side to be honest!

Was he the bald headed captain? Looked decent enough for reserve level.

What was going on with two of your players wearing snoods though? (Keeper and guy up front who loved a step over)
