Midweek Fixtures & Results - 21/22/23/24 March

He signed about a month or so ago I think. Played a couple of games and looked quite decent, haven't seen him for a couple of weeks now mind you. Don't know why. Don't think he likes putting on boots for training....

The Herts senior league manager is roy boon ex stotfold team mate and the sml manager is the pensioner from 61fc luton who no doubt like last year just chooses his team with only 1 or 2 others whitch is a JOKE its not a league rep team

An embarrassment then to the SSML for fielding a mid-table side

Ref Off Ref - If someone at your Club had been on the ball you would have made it your business to know about the match taking place last night and contact the Manager to 'tout' the availability of Padbury United players

Would ha e thought it to be the other way round as surely it's in the best interests of the SSML to have your best team available, and there are a lot of other good players at this level who are with other clubs

With Padbury doing so well this season it would have been beneficial to the team to have at least 4 players, it could be just the case that the HSCL is of a better standard than SSML.

Special One, will you be supplying players to the Rep side next season when Cranfield are in Div.2 ? ; - )

Ref Off Ref - My guess is that the 61FC Manager has some sort of issue with Padbury United otherwise he would have surely contacted the Club to check the availability of players for the game last night, have you upset him or the Club in some way

Stop stirring it Rhodes. The match was arranged at short notice to the SSML, and, as they do not have to compete in the Inter League Cup until next season, it was not high on their priority list. THE HSCL is most grateful that they supplied opposition at short notice. Your "quess" is, as is so often the case, wide of the mark!

Also, Padbury will clearly be in Div 1 next season, and therefore, their players will be ineligible for the rep side!!!

I would guess that the SSML Div 2 and HSCL are approximately on a par at the top and middle of the division. The SSML Div 2 is somewhat tarnished by not having a natural feeder like the HSCL Div 1 and as a consequence has some poor sides every year at the bottom of the table.

Horace - That's a very valid point, fair play, unless Padbury's groundshare at Ford Meadow falls through for whatever reason

we have played 2 teams from hscl . hinton and sandridge who are both doing well this season and we beat them both hinton. who are 2nd we beat 4.0 at there place so i dont think they are a better standard . letchworth look good and after beating berko 5.2 at berko and doing well against london lions in final
