Latest Match Updates

There's been a couple of posts recently from various folk looking for updates from Hornchurch's games as they are being played.

 

Just so everyone's aware we text in match events as they occur (Hornchurch's matches only) to the nonleaguelive site (http://www.nonleaguelive.com). There's a link to it on the Hornchurch website.

 

These are the updates we sent in for today's game:

What we'll do going forward is update this thread with the link to Hornchurch's latest match. From the link you'll be able to see events as they happen (kick off, goals, subs, half-time, full-time etc etc). As soon as we text the updates in they'll appear on the web page.

 

Should be useful for those of you who can't get to various games.

 

We should be attending most games between now and the end of the season, though Carshalton is 50/50 (dependent on daughter's work schedule) and Horsham is definitely a miss as we're checking out a university. If we're not attending we'll still update the thread to let you know there'll be no updates.

 

NOTE: DON'T USE THIS AS AN EXCUSE FOR NOT GOING - IT'S MUCH MUCH BETTER TO BE THERE IN PERSON CHEERING THE URCHINS ON RATHER THAN SITTING F5'ING YOUR KEYBOARD !

We will be going to Carshalton tonight (driving there) so we'll provide "live" updates as the game progresses. So, for those of you who can't make the game you can keep updated on events throughout the evening.

I've created the match for today's game v Horsham however it is very unlikely we will be able to attend (and therefore provide updates) as we're visiting a University until early afternoon. But, if the presentations etc finish early and we can get to the game in time then we will do.

I want to make this a bit more interactive so I'll be creating an AFC Hornchurch twitter account for the live updates. We could use the existing @AFCHORNCHURCH twitter account rather than create a new one but a new one dedicated solely to match updates might be simpler.

 

I'm also looking to create a twitter hashtag that we can all use to tweet comments etc. Basically, tweets that end with this new hashtag will appear in the timeline for the current match. Hendon and Kingstonian use it - example: http://www.nonleague....com/match/1006

I agree that there not going to be no walkovers, they've had a few surprising results this season. But we're strong at the back at the moment, only conceided 1 in 6 games, just see if we can put a few away at the other end.

E.Thurrock have scored 9 in their last two matches, albeit against Aveley and Horsham, lets hope they can keep that run going.
