Gainsborough Trinity

So I’d say that’s 120 travelling with the ST. The majority will drive up plus Neil mentioned around 75 will travel from the players and management family/friends. Someone mentioned there 3 minibuses from pubs in Slough going aswell (don’t know how true that is...). So we could be looking at 300 minimum, maybe close to 400?

Looks like there are a few car parks within Gainsborough for those of us heading into town beforehand, all except one under £2 for 4 or 5 hours.

There is a Wetherspoons called the Sweyn Forkbeard on Silver St, about 10 minutes' walk to the ground. Pretty much next door to it are The Eight Jolly Brewers and The Canute, which all seem to get decent reviews.

See you all up there.

It's the first round proper, we're raring to go

The Rebels are coming to put on a show

The cameras are rolling for Match of the Day

The punters will stream in to watch our boys play

With 'little legs' Manny's skills well worth a glance

Viewers of Strictly should watch his feet dance

Floody is ready to tear them apart

Dobbo and wazza on fire from the start

The centre mids breaking up every attack

But if they get through then we're strong at the back

And right at the end there's still Turner to beat

Slough fans will be dancing if there's a clean sheet

Whatever the team there's a passion to win

And with Bakes and Unders we never give in

Last year we returned to our roots here in Slough

To bring back the good times and our time is now!!!

The fans are behind you whatever the score

The Rebels are ready, now lets hear us ROAR!!!

There is a few of us heading to the splendidly named Sweyn Forkbeard if you want to congregate before the game. Although they will have to go some to be as cheap as the spoons in Merthyr £1.29 a pint!
