You ought to enter National League North, when you win promotion this season.  You will then be in the National League in May 2019.

 

It is always a great achievement for teams like ours to make the First Round draw.  A narrow defeat and everything is still looking OK for the rest of the season.  A 6-0 thrashing is going to take some recovering from.  Who do you want in Round 2?

What a performance from Slough Town.  All of your players were better than ours and you thoroughly deserved the 6-0 scoreline - it could have been worse.  You are an exciting attacking side and made us look like the Dog and Duck, who would probably have beaten us as well today!  Matthew Lench is some player - why isn't he playing in the football league?

 

Hope you get a great draw in the second round and earn promotion.  I am sure that you would do very well in National League North.

 

Good luck for the rest of the season and hope you have a safe journey home.

 

As for Trinity, not sure where we go from here.  We had been turning the season around in the past few weeks, but we were embarrassing today.  Those floating home supporters who made up the 1600 gate wont be coming back anytime soon.

Understandable being pissed off right now. I would feel the same way if it was the other way around !

 

Small mercies but at least you can now concentrate on your league form now.

Well Matt Lench has already said on screen that he wants the lowest ranked team possible to try to get a plum tie in round 3. I quite like the idea of Wycombe at home for historic reasons (we give them a game too.) Not sure were allowed to enter national league north...15 of the other teams in the Southern Premier are North of us.

That was unbelievable. Good old fashioned ground that looks and feels like a football ground, rather than an industrial estate.  Driving up would have taken a scrappy 1-0 win. In end disappointed only 6! My dream tie of Cheltenham away (5minutes door to door) has gone, but after today dont care where next game is.

Brilliant – outstanding – beautiful – majestic – enthralling – proud – mighty…………………..

 

There are not enough words of praise for the Slough Town FC performance today, and the atmosphere at the Slough end was electric – the fans feed off the players and the players feed off the fans – a club firing on all cylinders.

 

Draw on Monday and don’t really care who we get as the boys will go out and play their game and do the club proud.

 

Next Saturday is the Trophy and will see what that brings.

 

What a great time to be a rebels supporter.

What a squad Neil and Jon have assembled!!!

 

 

We never looked like losing today and as soon as Lench scored the first we got our foot into the second round and never looked back. The second from Lench was a fantastic strike and the rest all came from good team play to create one on one chances.

 

 

Like most others was hoping for a win but would have taken a draw but never expected to come away with a 6-0 win.

 

 

Bring on Monday night and ball number 34.

 

 

 

 

p.s. if you want to round off a great day, take a look at Spencer Days latest interview where he explains how the officials don't know any of the rules. Still not his fault.
