Many congratulations to Ollie Bayliss who got married on Saturday hence his absence from Sunday's BBC Three Counties Radio Non League Show, hopefully he will be back this coming Sunday:

At least we know now that there definitely is a God, Ollie Bayliss was thankfully back in the hot seat on Sunday afternoon and what a show it was. This is an interesting listen and a half an hour Podcast entitled 'Down To The Roots', the guest in this week's episode which 'explores' non league football is no other than, wait for it, Ollie Bayliss:

Down To The Roots Soccer Podcast: Exploring Non-League Football in the UK with Ollie Bayliss on Apple Podcasts

In the fourth episode, I speak with Ollie Bayliss, host of the Non-League Football Show on BBC Three Counties Radio about grassroots football in the England.  Non-league football is an integral part of the fabric of the football pyramid, providing a path forward for players outside of the first four divisions that most might recognize: The Premier League, the English Championship, League One and League Two.  We discuss the non-league system, beginning with the Vanarama National League as well as the steps below it.  Also Ollie discusses what it's like to cover non-league football as both a journalist and a commentator, what a good run in the FA Cup can mean for a non-league side, current Premier League players who got their start in the lower leagues, and much more.

Sorry folks, this is where the Boomtown Rats song from back in the day is so apt as it's this week's Suffolk Non League Show if anyone is interested:

Ollie Bayliss is surprisingly still tight lipped as to what and who will be featured on his eagerly awaited BBC Three Counties Radio Non League Show this afternoon however no doubt yesterday's FA Cup Preliminary Round ties will be high on the agenda involving our local Club's, it was huge disappointment for Leighton Town and Tring Athletic:

Unsurprisingly Ollie Bayliss has been nominated for a gong at the 'Football Content Awards' in the 'Best Non-League Creator’ category, obviously Ollie should walk it but vote for him anyway just to be on the safe side as these type of things can often be 'rigged':

Good and bad, sorry, grave news folks, the other Non League Show is back today after a lengthy summer break however unfortunately, for some unknown reason, Dave Anderson is 'guesting', it doesn't make any sense does it:

https://audioboom.com/posts/7931136-27th-august-2021-hayes-yeading-goal-den-start-fc-united-of-wrexham-s-futsal-roots-fa-cup-f

Tim Fuell returns with a new season of The Non League Football Show, with a cameo from Dave Anderson.
First up his own gaffer. Paul Hughes has led his Hayes & Yeading United side to aborted promotion pushes and two televised FA Cup First Round ties in the past two seasons and has started off this one with three wins from three netting 12 goals. It's very early in the season but what's the magic behind that start?
Whilst others struggled to keep their club alive during the pandemic Andrew Ruscoe created a new one. With a men's side in the fifth tier of the Welsh system, the club is founded on Futsal foundations, youth and community but there are some interesting learnings for the rest of Non-league.
He's been a stalwart of the show for years, and now in its 150th competition year @FACupFactfile Phil Annets has brought out a book celebrating the greatest football cup competition in the world. Hear why celebrated sports journalist Henry WInter was happy to put his name to the cover quote and just why the competition is called The FA Challenge Cup.
Rounding off the show is Editor at Large of The Non League Paper Matt Badcock. Printed all through the pandemic and the summer, the paper is now back to including over 100 match reports every week alongside other news and views. Find out what this weekend's paper will include.

What on earth is going on, Ollie Bayliss's BBC Three Counties Radio Non League Show is not being broadcast this afternoon due to, wait for it, the Tottenham v Watford Premier League game, I wonder who's decision that was as there will be a lot of very disappointed people today who's Sunday's revolve around the show and it is the highlight of their week:

Due to the Watford game, the Non-League Show WON’T be available to listen to live online. It will be available locally from 2pm on: 90.4FM, 92.1FM, 94.7FM, 95.5FM, 98.0FM, 104.5FM & DAB. We’re working on making it available to listen back to on BBC Sounds from this evening.

Today's other Non League Show and thankfully no sign of Dave Anderson:

https://audioboom.com/posts/7935135-03rd-september-2021-peterborough-sports-fa-cup-first-qualifying-mascot-races?playlist_direction=forward

Manager Jimmy Dean has been juggling a family holiday with Peterborough Sports' 100% record. 5 wins from 5 and a couple of 450 miles plus round trips and he's enjoying life and football as much as ever at the top of the Southern Premier South. It's FA Cup weekend though and in the First Qualifying Round they host a tough Haringey Borough side which he knows will be a tough affair.
With insight into every one of the 121 ties in the FA Cup this weekend Phil Annets reveals some of the potential cupsets, the interesting facts and where he will be heading for his own 200th ground this weekend.
Rounding off the show is David Richarson, Senior Writer at The Non League Paper as he talks crowds, the retirement of Jim Cooper at Grays Athletic and the return to the game of Jim Gannon at Hyde United, plus Bank Holiday Monday's Mascot mayhem.

At least we know there definitely is a God as it's business as usual for Ollie Bayliss this afternoon and his always eagerly awaited BBC Three Counties Radio Non League Show, he was really messed about last week and so were we, all because of the Tottenham v Watford Premier League fixture. Ollie is still tight lipped as to what and who will be featured on the show at 2.00pm however all will be revealed:

I'm just wondering whether Bob Geldof had the Suffolk Non League Show in mind when he wrote the song 'I Don't Like Monday's' in 1979:

Once again, thankfully, no sign of Dave Anderson during today's other Non League Show, hopefully the penny has finally dropped that listeners turn off in their droves when he is on. Karen's nemesis Phil Annet is on the show who puts her to shame with his statistics:

The Non League Football Show / 10th September 2021 - FA Vase, Moneyfields and More (audioboom.com)

Tim Fuell speaks with Phil Annets in his @FAVaseFactfile guise previewing the 199 ties being played this weekend as the FA Vase kicks off with the First Qualifying Round.
One of those games is Moneyfields v Tooting & Elling. New boss at Moneyfields Glenn Turnbull is no stranger to the show nor great FA Vase runs, having narrowly missed out on the final last term when in charge at United Services Portsmouth. Now back at his former club also in Portsmouth, his Moneyfields side features many of the successful US Portsmouth side from last season but have had a torrid start to this one in the Wessex Premier. He hopes the FA Vase may reinject that little bit of magic.
Rounding of the week is David Richardson with his preview of this week's Non League Paper.
