The Non League Football Show

Recommended Posts

Yes, sorry to sound like The Two Ronnies but in a packed show this afternoon Ollie will feature Harpenden Town, Winslow United, Shefford Town & Campton, Hertford Town, Chalfont St Peter and Berkhamsted as well as chat about 3G surfaces, player Managers and Club crests with so many Club's changing theirs of late, such as Arlesey Town, and it's never for the better. Obviously yesterday's FA Cup Fourth Qualifying Round ties will be featured involving our local Club's as well as the FA Youth Cup so that's possibly where Winslow United come in. Fill your boots at 2.00pm.

Ollie Bayliss was in attendance at Clarence Park last night for the St Albans City v Corinthian Casuals FA Cup Fourth Qualifying Round Replay, Ollie will have no doubt got into trouble with 'her indoors' as the tie started late and did not finish until 10.52pm following a penalty shoot out which St Albans City won 4-2 following a 1-1 draw:

Today's other Non League Show, it's a good listen:

The Non League Football Show / 22nd October - FA Vase First Round, Hillingdon Borough (audioboom.com)

A slightly shorter show as Tim Fuell speaks with Phil Annets in this @FAVaseFactfile guise as that competition reaches the First Round Proper. 105 ties, 210 clubs seeking to take a further step towards Wembley.
Anthony Obeng-Manu is one manager who hopes to do so. His Hillingdon Borough side travel to play Baldock Town on Sunday and he is looking forward to the opportunity after two entertaining games already in the competition.
David Richardson is also on hand to provide his insight into the games chosen for live TV in the forthcoming First Round of the FA Cup and he also chats about the new management team at Southend and at Stourbridge pus previews the weekend's paper.

I see that Ollie Bayliss sold his soul to the devil yesterday afternoon and commentated on the Milton Keynes Dons v Rotherham League One fixture for BBC Three Counties Radio:

Ollie Bayliss is still very tight lipped on who and what will feature on his eagerly awaited BBC Three Counties Radio Non League Show at 2.00 this afternoon, no doubt all will be revealed a bit later:

Sorry for the delay in reliably informing you that this afternoon's BBC Three Counties Radio Non League Show includes features on this weekend's FA Vase ties and the FA Cup as well as Cheshunt, Beaconsfield Town, St Albans City, Hitchin Town and Risborough Rangers, in addition Leighton Town’s new boss Paul Bonham will be interviewed by Ollie Bayliss which will no doubt be an interesting listen.

In all the excitement of Winslow United Under 18's exploits at Portman Road on Thursday I forgot to post Friday's other other Non League Show which is a good listen albeit obviously not as good as our very own Ollie Bayliss's BBC Three Counties Radio Non League Show:

The Non League Football Show / 29th October 2021 - Southend United and AFC Sudbury (audioboom.com)

We always enjoying introducing new clubs onto the show and this week it's a club with much history beyond Non-league hoping its latest changes will make its transition into the National League more palatable. New manager at Southend United Kevin Maher joins Tim Fuell to discuss the size of the project he has taken on at a club with a big place in his heart. Plus how he came to name a Non-league management dream team alongside him in the form of Darren Currie and Mark Bentley.
Preparing for a Friday night TV appearance in the FA Cup First Round is proving exciting and challenging for Chairman Andrew Long and his AFC Sudbury side. The club in Step 4 of the Non-league pyramid are hosting neighbours Colchester United next week but not before a tough FA Trophy Third Qualifying Round tie at Brentwood Town this weekend that means no less to his ambitious club.
Rounding off the week's news is Non League Paper Editor at large Matt Badcock. Previewing the very competitive National League fixtures this weekend and reviewing some of the managerial changes this past week.

It's perhaps understandable that Ollie Bayliss is still tight lipped on who and what will feature on his eagerly awaited BBC Three Counties Radio Non League Show this afternoon with the clocks going back an hour, no doubt all will be revealed a bit later and watch this space for details:

Bulletin folks, on this afternoon's eagerly awaited BBC Three Counties Radio Non League Show Ollie Bayliss will feature Risborough Rangers, Karen's Welwyn Garden City, Kempston Rovers and, surprise surprise, Ollie's beloved Aylesbury United who's fans walked to AFC Dunstable yesterday for Charity. In addition he will discuss groundsharing, unbeaten runs and yesterday's FA Trophy Third Qualifying Round ties. Fill your boots at 2.00pm:

It's no surprise whatsoever that Ollie Bayliss's BBC Three Counties Radio Non League Show has been shortlisted for Radio Show of the Year at the forthcoming Football Supporters Association (FSA) Awards and you can vote here although 606 will no doubt win:

Who heard the Nick Godwin Sport show on BBC Radio London this evening (Wednesday) featuring Non League and Ollie Bayliss, it was a good listen especially when Ollie came on at the start, the show featured Hayes & Yeading, Harrow Borrow, Enfield Town and Tooting & Mitcham:

No doubt Boreham Wood and St Albans City will be heavily featured on Ollie Bayliss's BBC Three Counties Radio Non League Show on Sunday following their FA Cup First Round ties this weekend, Boreham Wood entertain Eastleigh tomorrow and St Albans City host Forest Green Rovers on Sunday, albeit kick off 5.15pm, after the show has finished:

Apologies to Karen but here is today's other Non League Show with her nemesis Phil Annets featured heavily previewing this weekend's FA Cup First Round ties, unfortunately Step 4 AFC Sudbury couldn't pull off a shock this evening losing 4-0 at home to Colchester United. I know Karen won't be listening however tomorrow's tie between Yate Town and Yeovil Town is the very first time two Cub's beginning with 'Y' have ever met in the competition, I assume that is the competition proper and not the Qualifying Rounds. Also nine former winners of the competition take part in the First Round this weekend

The Non League Football Show / 05th November - FA Cup 1, Harrow Borough & Stockport County (audioboom.com)

It's the FA Cup First Round and Tim Fuell collects all the stats and facts from @FACupFactfile Phil Annets before talking to Harrow Borough Boss Steve Baker in his side's preparations for a trip to recent winners Portsmouth.
Next up former Hartlepool United manager Dave Challinor who quit the Football League side this week to return to former club Stockport County in the National League. A big decision and a big opening game awaits; an FA Cup First Round derby at Bolton Wanderers.
Rounding up the week's news and the show is David Richardson from The Non League Paper.

Grave news folks, Ollie Bayliss is away this weekend so will not be hosting the BBC Three Counties Radio Non League Show this afternoon, anyway due to the Arsenal v Watford Premier League fixture the show won't be available live on air as normal at 2.00pm so that's maybe a blessing in disguise.

I see that St Albans Cithave been rewarded for their heroics with an FA Cup Second Round tie at Boreham Wood, it was pretty much guaranteed, and cut and dried, that the two Hertfordshire Club's would meet either at Meadow Park or Clarence Park. Sorry Karen but they have very surprisingly only met once before in the competition, in 2017/18, when Boreham Wood won 3-1 at Clarence Park in a Fourth Qualifying Round tie with 'The Wood' going on to reach the Second Round before losing 3-0 at Coventry although not before beating League One Blackpool 2-1 at Meadow Park, the first time the Cub had ever beaten League opposition in the competition in a number of First and Second Round attempts:

I think presenter of the other Non League Show, Tim Fuell, has finally seen the light as there is no sign of former co-presenter Dave Anderson today, surely Tim realises that the guy is a total liability and he used to hemorrage listeners whenever he was on:

The Non League Football Show / 12th November 2021 - FA Trophy, Canvey Island & Leamington (audioboom.com)

As the FA Trophy reaches the First Round, Tim Fuell speaks with new Canvey Island boss Brad Wellmen ahead of their match v Yaxley. No stranger to the Essex club after years on the coaching staff he has stepped up after the departure of Mark Bentley with three emphatic wins and two clean sheets.
Also no stranger to his club, Paul Holleran, boss of Leamington FC.... for the past 12 years. That's seen dramatic development off the pitch as well as promotions and relegation and currently sees his side pushing for a play-off spot in the very competitive National North.
The Non League Paper's David Richardson rounds up the week's news including TV spots in the FA Cup and more managerial changes.

I expect Ollie Bayliss's BBC Three Counties Radio Non Show on Sunday will focus on the local Club's playing in tomorrow's FA Trophy First Round, namely Berkhamsted, Cheshunt, Royston Town, Bedford Town, Potters Bar Town, Biggeswade Town, Bishop's Stortford, Marlow, and Karen's Welwn Garden City:

Ollie Bayliss will have a lot to discuss during his eagerly awaited BBC Three Counties Radio Non Show this afternoon particularly following the abandonment of the Bedford Town v Potters Bar Town FA Trophy First Round tie at The Eyrie in stoppage time with Potters Bar Town leading 1-0:
