A good post ๐Ÿ‘ I've heard bad things about St Albans City in recent years but I always enjoyed visiting there ground but i haven't been there for over 10 years now. You wouldn't happen to know the

The usual poor comment from Rhodes which is why I did not reply.

The club might have to move those nice new benches around a bit now ๐Ÿ˜‰

If there is a club that is long overdue a good season it's North Greenford United FC I really hope they have a good season next season if next season happens of course ๐Ÿ˜ฌ

They have a decent clubhouse and a nice ground and it's in a nice setting its a good little set up there.

This was probably the worse playing surface in the Competition last season. The Club acknowledged as such and to there credit have done plenty of work to rectify the problem. Areas in the corner where you entered the pitch, outside the far penalty area and the touch line bench side were very poor and any rain rendered the pitch unplayable. Hopefully the remedial work work has solved all the issues.ย

Let's hope so ๐Ÿ‘

I haven't been there for a few seasons now so I'm long overdue a visit to the place.

Savagebee - Has Berkeley Fields changed much in the last ten years as I have never actually been there, here are over 150 photographs from a game with Slough Town on 13 November 2010 when they had just been promoted to the Zameretto Southern League Central Division after impressively winning the Combined Counties League Premier Division Championshipย  in 2009/10 under the great Steve Ringrose. They also reached the Third Qualifying Round of the FA Cup in 2010/11 losing 5-0 at Leiston which was, up to that point, their best ever showing in the competition since first entering in 2004, beating Bowers & Pitsea, Northwood and Felixstowe & Walton United after a reply. As for the game with Slough Town and the photographs below, Slough won 3-1 after North Greenford United took an early lead, the visitors then missed a penalty before equalising and running out fairly comfortable winners in the end. By the way if you reply you don't need to copy my whole post again including the album just to say one or two words or give a thumbs up sign, Ian will be running out of data storage space on the Forum soon:

Not really but in recent years they have built a new small covered standing area stand behind the goal next to the seated stand.

Recognised a lot of those players in those pictures would have been interested to see the line ups.

Over 100 photographs from Slough Town v North Greenford United, at Holloways Park on 19 November 2013, in a Southern League Division One Central fixture from 2013/14, Slough Town won 3-0 on their way to promotion to the Southern League Premier Division that season through the play offs. North Greenford United finished 20th in the table, one place above relegation as was also the case the following season however their luck finally ran out in 2015/16 when finishing bottom and were duly relegated to the Combined Counties League Premier Division after the Club successfully appealed against their placement in the Hellenic League where they weren't keen to go. After only two seasons however in the Combined Counties League they transferred sideways to the SSML Premier Division for the 2018/19 season:

On his day Dom Rhone is a top left sided player.ย

Was part on the great Hanwell Town FC team that won the SSML Premier Division in 2013/14.

He never stays at one club for to long though.

At Northwood FC last season.

Savagebee - Dom Rhone is a class act and a good friend from when he played for Tokyngton Manor briefly having come from Beaconsfield SYCOB and before moving to AFC Hayes and then on to Slough Town, we spoke only yesterday. You probably don't know that, in the photograph, the challenge the North Greenford United player is about to make broke Dom's leg and he was out of the game for eighteen months, it could have ended his career as it was a very bad break.
