The squad looks desperately thin, currently only 16. Midfield and upfront particularly bare.

This is the challenge we have: we either put players on a contract and risk them not performing to expectations, and costing us money to benchwarm all season, or we don't and run the risk of them getting a better offer elsewhere. Would question whether a player that shakes hands and agrees to play for us, then does an about turn a week later is the right fit for the club - much rather we had people who want to buy into what we're doing, and commit fully.

Hopefully we have some other irons in the fire, which we're maybe not announcing as things aren't finalised 🤞

Don't forget that we're now in July, so we can register players, which is at least a commitment from the player (didn't work with Ben Frempah, but hey ho ..)
