Paul Wilkerson

You're talking rubbish madame.

This is not made , up about 300/400 of us saw the incident. There is a post on brewersnet , not written by me but that's the account you want to read. Wilkerson was both intimadating and abusive to the young lad who did nothing wrong , and was not time wasting. In the past this ball boy has been joked to about how fast he gets it sometimes , but this was all wilkerson. He did signal to our fans like the person said and was inciting our crowd. If you had equalised he would have been unbearable and i think the situation would have stepped up another notch. People left addresses at the match with the stewards who took these over to the main stand after the match along with the lads dad.

Hopefully something is done , this was disgraceful.

Were you there? sounds like you weren't.

Right as I have said I was not there and did not see it so I can not comment and anyone that wasn't there shouldn't say it didn't happen. They simply don't know.

Brewers net I have a feeling that nothing will happen with this (I may be wrong) as they only place I have heard about this is on here and it's going to take more than 400-500 (the number rises every time) statements of biased Burton fans.

Finally can I also suggest the following:-

1. If you don't like our stadium don't come down. Having seen the pictures of your stadium its not much better. To us Stonebridge road is a shrine to football and thats why we probably get regular larger gates than want you get (and most of them probably turn up to see a famous face).

2. Simarly if you don't like our forum don't come on here. If you come on here slagging us off what do you expect?

3. Get some help. Talk to someone. You've been coming on here looking for a war. It's not our fault your not winning on the pitch or in the bedroom.

From a poster on the Burton forum

from someone who stood behind the goal and this is unbiased as it can be. The gravesend goalie had been wound up in the first half by his own defenders, he was shouting and screaming at them shortly before our 2nd goal, and seemed very wound up all game. In the 2nd half he was trying to get on with the game as fast as possible, unlike many other keepers who just take their time. Obviously gravesends philosophy is to try and attack as that is how you win games, hence their 27 goals scored.

When the ball went out of play for a goal kick the ball boy picked up the ball to throw to keeper who had ran 20 yards to the side of goal to get ball. The poor ball boy was probably stunned to see a 6 foot 3 ' billy bunter figure charging towards him and froze with the ball in his hands. When he threw the ball to the keeper from a short distance away the keeper then proceeded to hurle abuse at the poor lad. He then quickly ran and took the gaol kick and turned to the crowd with his hands in the air pointing to outside and clearly shouted something along the lines of ill see you all outside. This surely is classed as insiting the crowd. These actions are not that of a pro sportsman - indeed Goalkeeper Paul Chrichton ex of York was recently sacked by his own club for geustering to his own supporters. I wonder if the club video catches Wilkerson in the act.Maybe theFA will be interested. At this point several people were so incenced by his actions to the ball boy and the rest of the crowd that the stewards reported him to the 4th official. Also people gave names & addresses to be prepared to make staements regarding his actions. Such a shame as i used to rate him as a keeper on past performances, but now he should go and bury his head in shame. Question - Has wilkerson got chidren, and how would he like it if someone for example shouted at them in a street for no reason.

Finally did he find the ball boy after the match and apologise as you could visibly see at the end of the game the lad was very upset and close to tears.

As i have said I wasn't there. Wilko does have kids. If he did anything wrong then he should be punished. But please note this is the first time we have actually heard an account of what went on.

I was there , but probably like most others in the ground did not see the incident.

Yes Wilko was gesturing, but it looked as if it was to the 4 or 5 stewards chatting behind the goal to get them to move down to pitchside to avoid any further problems. Which seemed a sensible thing to do.

Was he abusive - Don't know , couldn't see or hear as too far away .

Was he offering them all outside - Of course not, and its ridiculous to think so.

Like the incident last week with Miller at Aldershot, when some of us were up in arms, storm in tea cup - Most probably

I didn't see the ball boy incident, but I did see Wilko raising his arms up and down in response to the abuse he was getting from the crowd. As one who slated Adam Miller for his actions at Aldershot, I have to say Wilko was well out of order as well. Whatever the abuse a player shouldn't react. I was impressed by three stewards who acted in response to three or four supporters who were slagging off one of our players in the first half. They asked them to stop which they did. I have to say their supporters though were a pretty unfriendly bunch, give me Forest Green anytime.

Fair comment by Fleet boy, I thought. Similar, if not identical, situation.

Mind you, I want to know what Adam Miller was doing inciting an away fan's twat! <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/shocked2.gif" alt="" />
