Difficult to see beyond Waltham Abbey to be honest, given their excellent start and 7 point lead.

Enfield Town have a great fan base and away following, and Burnham Ramblers now have the financial clout. Both could mount a challenge but I can't see either catching WA.

My own club, Bowers & Pitsea (That's our crest on the left) are paying for a struggling start but are now making great strides, as recent results will bear out. However, we may yet have a say in where other teams will finish. I think we could make the top 4/5.

Hell of a word IF!!!! My opinion is based on the fact that WA have won 10 out of 11, drew the other one and have a GD of +24. Whereas whilst ETFC have an equally impressive record (Still unbeaten with a game in hand), the GD of +16 may be still be a deciding factor. Either way it's just an opinion and I wouldn't be upset if ETFC did catch WA.

I agree with hookey. Been to see both abbey and town this year quite abit and overall i would have to say that the young abbey side has impressed me the most. I have seen them play well and been extremely impressed and i have seen them play bad and win, which everyone knows is the sign of a good team. Can't see them losing to town, especially twice.

come on ls calm down! a long way to go yet. if it was a weak league then maybe our lead would be enough if we did ok v town. the truth of the matter is there are 8 or 9 teams who can all beat each other. even look at stansted and apsa causing upsets.

after our start we would not be happy to finish out of the 3. its a tough old league and a long way to go!

but i cant really say we will win it and i def aint goin to say anyone else so stick me on the fence!

Pinnacle i must admit have not seen that many teams that look like they will be able to beat abbey or town, but i haven't seen that many games of other teams. I think the abbey v town games will decide it, don't think other teams will affect it too much or challenge either of them.

i watched them abbey in a cup game a few weeks ago against basildon and the side they fielded must of been mainly squad players. They was all extremely young, and still did a good job and played well, so they must too have a big enough squad. Understand where you coming from though Invisible Man, towns squad probally would be of greater strenght and depth

Of course it's a double-edged sword - we don't yet have a reserve team so it may not give as much of an advantage as it could. Squad players, for wnat of a better word, don't get games and tend to wander off. A good reserve and youth set-up is so important to a club and if Abbey have one then that's another factor in their favour.

But as Pinnacle says it's only November, all to play for yet! I reckon (on no evidence whatsoever I admit!) that someone else will come up on the rails to mount a serious challenge with Town and Abbey - maybe B&P, things seem to be happening there?

yeah the cup game v bas was a squad side but we have quite a few players who are very similar. i didnt play that day and they still won! ha ha, now that is strength in depth for you!!!!!!

we all know its early doors. to predict a top 4 would be tough let alone a winner!

Probably too late for us (B&P) to do anything in the league, but we could be a good outside bet for the league cup. We qualified for the QFs in Group B alongside WA, beating Bas Utd and Hullbridge twice each along the way!!!!
