Have the club decided what time kick-off will be against Chelmsford on Monday 27th December?

We were talking about this at Halstead... nothing decided yet.

 

Personally I'd go for a 3 o'clock start, for 2 reasons - time to have a drink beforehand and more time for the pitch to thaw in the event of a frost.

I would prefer it to kick off at 3, but I wouldn't be surpised if it was a 1pm kick off.

If it kicks off at 3, is there a chance the pitch could start freezing over in the second half?

 

I prefer 11am, although 3pm would be good for the cricket.

Personally, I think a 3pm K.O. would pull more paying punters in...Bar taking would be higher etc etc

I know Ian Ansell was conducting a straw poll at the Halstead game but even then times ranged from 11 to 3.

 

(personally I'd go for 3PM - I reckon that would achieve the highest overall take)

3pm sounds good but I can see the argument for a later or earlier KO depending on what local league sides and the London prem sides have that day and of course what either Murdochs evil empire are showing footy wise that day and when

As we have to look at this from a wider POV yeah I know its annoying to provide for the occasional or just general footy fan but if they come along to a later or earlier KO they become a regular impressed by what they see meaning more money for club better player higher footballing status etc.

It would appear that the Premiershit/League/Conference games are being played on the Sunday. Billericay v Chelmsford looks like the only major attraction. 3PM for me.

Excellent (insert Mr Burns style hand movemnts here). Good possibility for 2K+ me thinks, what would be our record att for a home league game. I think Chelmos record att was infact strangely a league derby game against Colchester drawing a 5 fig att at Melbourne or wherever they played in the early 60s

No chance of a 2k attendance. Id be happy with 1000, Our combined home average is probably less than 1000

Fair enough Cardiff I felt City use to get more than their average from league site of 344 ours 397 (3rd highest in the league, bearing in mind biggest crowd of 463 we could finish top of the att league)

 

With that game need to bear in mind

 

A) Biggest local derby for both teams

The crimbo derby

C) When was the last time we played em in a competive match I seem to remeber getting an utter spanking in a ESC tie down their years ago

D) Both sets of fans now how to easily find the ground as well as it being within 10 of Chelmo

Bank Holiday fixture, local derby will attract a big crowd would expect over 1000 people.

 

That time of year have to be careful with early kick off in case of frozen pitch.

 

My preference would be a 1pm Kick Off but we will wait and see what both clubs agree to am sure will be posted shortly.

The combined average attendance for league games is 741. Reckon somewhere around the 1000 mark, weather permitting.

Agree with simon. Obviously both sets of regular home supporters will be there as its home stadium for both, add a few extra for bank holiday and local derby, i reckon 1000. Could get 3 1000+ attendances this season, not a bad return
