Is it just me,or are recent posts deviating from the thread subjects more?(Re Jimmy Jackson post).Perhaps somebody can set up a juvenile forum to cater for our Ch*l**a friend and his associates and let us old`uns get on with discussing Fleet issues!

I'm not the only one to divert from fleet issues you know, read the leigh away thread even David Holden is on there not talking about the original question.

 

I'm also not the only one to support another team. Did you know FF is a Hammer? And Jimmy used to be a Gill? I can't tell you how many times I have been asked for the scores on some of the latest premiership games while standing with my radio on the terraces. How many Chelsea Arsenal Tottenham shirts do you see at Stonebridge Road? More than the Gravesend shirts I bet.

 

And as for talking about Fleet issue's how many posters you put up mate? How many fliers? Was you at the meeting a month ago? And which one of us is trying to get a supporters club up and running in conjunction with the Fleet Trust?

 

Picking on me because I'm an easy target? Don't care mate I'm still going to turn up week in week out weather you like it or not.

This section is an OPEN forum, part of the fun and interest I find is to see how far away from the original topic it is possible to go. It's a bit like chinese whispers really.

I have found it is nearly always possible to turn any subject into a thread in which Fleetbabe is praising Dukebox.

Boring this forum is not. Too much of the same subject does drive people away from it.

i doubt it, im sure thereare more people who were GNFC shirts, then taht of other teams.

Well said that man. Reading through various discussions on here and I can’t get my head around how on one hand the club want an increase in attendances and to attract new fans and on the other, when new fans raise their opinions their shouted down as ‘Johnny-come-latelys’!

It seems to me that theses group of supporters want to see increased attendances, and further success on the field whilst denying a voice to any other supporters. Rather like a batsman batting for himself rather than the team or a Striker who plays only for personal glory.

My view is that the certain prominent people who form the hierarchy on these forums along with people of similar stature attached to the supporters club/trust have their own vision of how the club should move forward, and have not time for other peoples ideas – oh but they wouldn’t mind these people they’d like to gag turning up and contributing financially.

Could always ask him to bring along a few hundred Real Madrid Ultras for some support. Certainly spice the atmpsphere up a bit wouldn't it.

Just a thought about the original post at the start of this thread.

 

It wasn't THAT long ago that people were moaning that this forum was too rigid, too boring & held the St. Albans forums up as an example of how things should be.

 

The last few weeks suggest that we are now very similar to that forum.
