Of course, Victor's quite within his rights to refuse sponsorship of a club if he so desires. But it would help if he had at least a rudimentary knowledge of UK politics before offering up such ill-advised comments.

Since most sponsorship deals are all about publicity maybe Victor is just being shrewd...He has had far more publicity through not buying them a set of shirts than he would ever have got had he boought them.

Victor's job isn't to make political statements though. He contributes supposedly out of the goodness of his heart towards football at grass-roots level. Why rant and rage against a small team requesting his magnanimous help just cos they happen to be based in Wales? As someone above said, will he rip the shirt off Macca's back cos he's Irish?
