WINDSOR RES 2 YEADING RES 0

Guest

Recommended Posts

Team: Gardiner, Smart, Tom Woodcraft, Abbott, Dunlop, Maqsood, Coyne, White, Adou, James-Lionel & David Case.

Subs: Edwards, Serge, Ma-kalambay, S Woodcraft & Wilson.

1st goal was scored in the 9th minute. A corner was taken and a player headed it back across the goal for Dunlop to head in. The 2nd goal was a Adou header from a Paul Coyne freekick in the 13th min.

Windsor were outstanding in control for most of the match. Paul Coyne was man of the match he stood out quite alot in this game. I hope he is back in the first team soon.

Tonight we heard Kearsey was back and that Clarke has gone to Northwood and White has gone to Maidenhead.

People should come and watch the reserves. Free to get in. You get to see some first teamers play at times and the atmosphere is cool.

Had a really good laugh with the boys tonight.

Tonight Matthew i'm going to be an Lino!

Ressies is much more fun to watch than the first team as if we muck up we laugh about it rather than pull our hair out! For instance our 7'9 Striker falling over the ball!

Capital league, We're having a laugh!

Can't believe we had Matthew Kelly as a assistant referee!!! At least he had a laugh about. Tonight Matthew I will be sub No. 14 and I will be playing up front.

It was a great laugh tonight. Not only did we watch a really good performance but we were chatting and laughing alot too.

I can't believe I cursed that striker but blimey he was a tall fella.

You should be sorry Woody... that song's legendary at Slough reserve games and I believe it's been copyrighted by regular attendees

I nearly choked on my Red Bull when he turned around when you first pointed it out!

Another 'Classic' moment that will be added to the end of season list! With already Two Malc mentions, Smudge, Matthew Kelly...and the infamous Bank Holiday incident i feel this is gonna be a season we'll remember more for the off the pitch shindigs than the on the pitch ones!

I hope this is the case when you play Slough or will you be putting a £4 charge on again?

Gary,

There should be a charge made at each game.

The problem is always trying to find someone to do it.

there was enough Spital FC and Wraysbury FC lads on the sieline to make another squad of reserves ,all local lads and interested in playing Wed night football, a good idea that if the First XI subs dont get 45 min on the previous sat then play them in the reserves for match fitness and pass on their experience, after all they are paid to play not just train. The new management showed their commitment and encouragement of being in kit and not the usual long black coat and gloves of last season. As for "lofty" he had snow on the top of his head, at least he will make a good target man as you cant fail to see him, first touch needs improving.

RESERVES xi

crowd was 54 people. I counted them.

admission nil.

loss of revenue to club £54 ????

well worth a pound entry and the beer was cheap.

football played 6 out of ten.

better coverage in the press, in programm and on web might help generate support and interest in WEFC generally.

More than £54. However alot of people just happen to be walking past and come and watch the game half way into it.

Found it funny that some people still looked over the fence rather than 'paying'!

The 7 ft 9 inch striker apparently used to play for Anderlecht, so it was said last night !!!

As for the game, Paul Coyne is top quality. Why is he not in your first team, when they are really struggling and failing to feed the strikers ? Can't understand that. If you don't play him, someone else surely will ! Also impressed by Dunlop and White, the centre-backs. Good game, Yeading passed the ball better, but WEFC scored two good goals and defended really well.

WEFC loss MUFC gain.

1, Ever heard of a wage budget?
2, He wasn't getting first team football at windsor
3, Maidenhead could offer him first team football

Shame he's gone but someone had to once we got Kers and i'd of hated to see a Dave Tilbury or a Spenny Walsh go
