Seriously my thoughts are as follows:

It is looking likley that Fords can't continue as it is very expensive and the books just won't balance carrying on there. Plus the Fords Social Club arrangement with Ford Motor Company means we can only have one year leases, which means we can't move forward anyway.

Assuming the other ground share is a non-starter (please, im not trying to debate that one)then the next options I suppose is to see what deal we can do with other localish clubs. Personnaly I would be happy for us to play wherever for one season, if it was finaiclly viable and we knew the Lower Bedfords Road thing was happening at the end of it. However I have been a Boro supporter long enough to put my money on the new ground not happening. Therefore I don't see the point in a short term deal with anyone without a light at the end of the tunnel. We would be better off, packing up, merging, or playing at Intermediate level.

If we do enter a ground share without positive news re Lower Bedfords, then it has to be a long term deal that is finaicially sustainable, and allows us to progress.

Of course if Uncle could pursade Ford Motor Company to sell him Rush Green, we could do a swop with you, and you would have a nassive arena to develop how you see fit.

I really don't know what is going to happen, and to be honest I think we are all getting a little tired after 14 years of not being able to plan our future. For the record I have alwys said that we approached to reformation wrong in the first place. We should have begun at Intermediate/Junior level on a plot of land that did not reqiure planning permission, then built up from there.

Hello Kaiser, sorry for being a bit flippant, I do hope Romford get something sorted soon just to keep their fans away from other ESU clubs. Limpets!

and very nice they were too westy...I really like the purple laces at the side....

rush green boroman...we did speak to fords last year and they were willing to discuss selling us the ground but only with a precondition regarding the social club...at the time I had the idea that two grounds could be built there with a large central 'two sided' stand and common facilities run by us but exclusive to you guys on your match days.....we would have obviously sounded out the council first about the future of the stadium ground...

nowt came of it as we rely very heavily on our bar and restaurant income and the pre condition was unacceptable...

do agree tho it would make a mighty fine stadium with the right plans in place...

'apologies' for the long post..... <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />
