So, does this game work in our favour? Last season we were up there in the table and got totally thumped. This year we are adrift of play off spot whilst Braintree are gunning for the title. Well according to the farmers it's ours for the taking, and we do owe em one, or five.

 

Truth is, if we lose its no disaster, it's a much bigger game for them, but lets hope we can stuff em.

 

Win or lose I'm out for a meal after, I'm determined to enjoy the day whatever the score .

I find it quite amusing to think that the "farmers" think it's ours for the taking. For league leaders who have one of the best home records this season, one has to wonder about their faith in their team. Personally, it's bollox. Even the bookies agree, that at odds at 5 to 1 for an away win, it'll be a massive effort for our lads to get all 3 points. That or we'll be very fortunate.

But that doesn't mean I don't want us to stuff 'em...just that the reality of the situation keeps me feet on the ground.

Braintree are unbeaten in 12 at Cressing road.

 

They will be giving it their all to maintain an unbeaten run, and will be looking to make it thirteen.

 

 

I wonder if Bomber has any special tunes lined up for us. I predict a riot maybe?

If we treat this game like a one-off cup game then we may have a chance. As mentioned, Braintree are unbeaten at home this season and are currently unbeaten in 12 games. They have Revell, Griffiths and Ofori, all free scoring players. However, what they also have is Fisher breathing down their necks, they can't afford to slip up. I'm sure Georgie will have his side fired up for the game as usual.

 

Our players should prepare for a physically demanding game and if we play well, you never know, we might just nick a point.
