To Mr Ridley

Little Miss Urchin

Recommended Posts

Met the former Weymouth Chairman on my travels to St Albans yesterday and had a chat for a while. Things seemed to go well until I showed him my Hx shirt. It appears he doen't think much of us - not one good word to say in the whole time I was speaking to him. Christ, it was as if I was the spokesperson for the club and he took his grievance out on me!

Just to let you know Ridley, we all love our club and in particular Carl and Jenny for the faith and hard work they have put in to taking this club from the Ryman div 2 with a dozen supporters to the Conf South, FA Cup 2nd round (and back again! ). When it went wrong they could have walked away but they didn't - nor did the fans. We have an average gate of 417 for home matches (better than a number of notable clubs in divisions above us), a great following away and a friendly and welcoming atmosphere. Three trophies last season and we're looking to add to that this.

I was told you were there to help promote your book. Quite frankly, if you're going to act in that kind of way to a supporter you can take your book and shove it where you speak. It wasn't a pleasure to meet you.

The Urchins are here to stay and we'll be back in the Conf South soon.

UP THE URCHINS!

What an idiot. Sounds like a rather unpleasant fella and something of a hypocrite since Weymouth spent large amounts of money to win promotion.

Does he still write a column for the Telegraph?

ridley is a two faced hypocrite...he took over at weymouth amidst a big fandango of press coverage garnered under the 'old fleet street pals act' and proceeded to balls it up...like many of us before him he found out the price of success in non league is expensive and that the people that populate it are mostly in it through self gain and thunder stealing...and so it all went sour...he sold out his shares to martyn harrison and then proceeded to try to use the muff fans to divide the club..they sensibly sent him packing...

he resurfaced at st albans as they were on an upward trend engineered by my old pal colin lypiatt...ridley can now be found at st albans home games telling everyone what a brilliant non league saviour he is when in truth he fcked up weymouth and then scarpered with martyn harrisons money when it all went bollox up....

some lifelong weymouth supporter....

oh by the way...I had a right go at him on the conf south forum a while back when he was on there pontificating about the 'nasty mr harrison' so I doubt he'd have much good to say about me or the little old urchins...he took the money and ran to another club...we turned down 750k and stayed...fck him...

well done LMU...

Steve Claridge seems to have it in for you guys as well. Has made some rather nasty comments when he had a column in the NLP.

LMU, I'll be having a word with Mr Ridley next time I see him! (I wonder if he'll be at Exeter Tuesday.)

If you can remind me about anything that happened after that incident, though, I'd be appreciative as my memory is void from that point on!

I just about remember going to the pub after the game but after that nothing!

No idea! I'd lost it by the time Ridley started to have a go at LMU! Later was just a blur.

I was informed by good sources that you ended up in a bar full of bulgarian transvestites and actually married one of them....
