I don't think the comments regarding fans having a pop at Bryan Hammatt were appropriate for our official website. The official website should not be used by the board or anybody to criticize fans, players or management. It should be factual and not opinionated. Just my view.

Agree

However I can write on this board that the opinionated nutter who screams everytime Hammatt gets near the ball is no good for Bryan's confidence and demonstrates that the supporter has a bigger problem than Bryan!

Ps its not my mother who has been rather quiet lately as my father and I have told her how much Bryan has improved this season.

For some reason both Davidson brothers have an undying loyalty to Bryan Hammett. In their eyes he is above repoach ,whilst other players are fair game for their criticism.

Which is fair enough, but Mr Davidson should remain neutral with regard to statements on the official forum. This very forum is the place for posting those type of comments and opinions. Not the offical site. But for his own reasons Mr Davidson no longer contributes to these forums.

So supporters can voice their opinions on this unofficial forum, which nobody apparently reads, and they are criticised.

Some supporters are criticised on the home page of the official web site for the club and there is no opportunity to answer such comments. Appears to be double standards working here

Mr Davidson should air that sort of fan criticism on here ,Then we can give him and the board members that post here a fair argument. Bryan is not the sort of player to win a title , yet Mr C continue's to select him almost without fail.

Totally agree.
The Club Offical Web Site is not the place for comments about supporters, sorry paying supporters who keep the Club alive.
We pay our cash and have the right to comment following such a crap performance.

Next home game v redbridge.
I predict a crowd of 157, if you are lucky.
Cash is going to dry up.

Totally agree, some of the match reports are somewhat too biased as well.

And before anyone starts, no I think the website is excellent, but agree with Happy, totally unnecessary paragraph for every other club to read.

Quite the little ray of sunshine aren't you?

No-one was questioning a supporter's right to criticise, but the atmosphere at the end of Saturday's game, bordering on pure hate, will empty grounds quicker than a fire alarm.

We played badly in a football match and lost - get this in perspective. Family atmosphere - remember that? - not much of that around on Saturday.

I am not going to defend Bryan's performance on Saturday, which was poor - however, so were about eight others (personally would exempt Allen, Magona, Crace and Mackey), but Bryan was the only one copping the terrace abuse.

AND you can't even do Bryan Hammatt the courtesy of spelling his name correctly. OR, for that matter, Phil Davison !

Response.
1, The situation regarding Cash for any Club like ours is a real worry.
Performances like Saturday will not encourage people to return.
2, I believe attendances will drop following some very poor HOME form. Not just this week.
3, I left the ground immediately after the final whistle blew and was not aware of the issues you raise.

I would put that down to the crowd of supporters, mainly behind the Town end goal, who were getting frustrated by the performance and the missed pen.

Should Rudi have taken it ?

Would he have scored ?

Who knows.

I cannot agree with abusing the Manager or the Players, but paying customers are getting fed up with poor HOME results - and I am not just talking about this season.

Well done to the club for having the guts to change the website comment. Fans do have a right to criticise players and management and sometimes this can only come from the terraces. It is part of the game. Now, I wasn't there on Saturday but if this criticism turned into abuse then those individuals should be ashamed of themselves. Criticise - yes, but abuse - no.
