Potters Bar Town Friendly?

Recommended Posts

Gre-e-e-e--a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-t one, Bootster!!

I must say that I have been working night and day on a nickname for the new Gaffer, and it has been taxing. Someone suggested 'The Schoolboy' but I thought that could be mis-interpretted as unkind.

"Biscuit" it shall be.

You know how Chelsea fans throw[/drop gently] sticks of celery on the pitch immediately prior to being banned sine die, presumably from Stamford Bridge, and some American NHL team's fans' throw octupus, or is it squid, onto the ice - is it Chicago? Or Pittsburgh? Whoever - well...

Why don't we all bring Rich Tea biscuits to the first few games? Not to throw onto the pitch, of course, that would be very foolish, but perhaps to cermonially dunk in the half-time tea or bovril or whatever. They could then be held aloft [warning: don't dunk 'em for too long if that is the intention] and waved gently.

The new Gaffer might be pleased at the display of welcome.

The team that started the match was: Eyre, Sulamain, Elphick, Mackie, Deen, Beard, Lopez, Marwa, Bubb, Baker, Burrell.

There were lots of changes in the 2nd half with most if not all the squad playing. Clarke, Hann, B.Martin (There but injured)and obviously Davis weren't there.

Sulaiman has signed a 1 year deal with us.

Versatile right-sided player Hassan Sulaiman has signed a one-year deal for the Club this afternoon. 21 year-old Hassan, who scored the winner at Potters Bar on Wednesday, began his career as a scholar at Arsenal before moving on to Wigan Athletic and Aldershot Town.
