FA Cup Draw

And that was after Stortford lost 3-1 to Bromley and Hampton beat Eastleigh 3-1 at the weekend. A rather topsy turvy league in Conference South this season.

Agree with you about it being an ordinary league. Whoever goes up will come straight back down again.

It wasn't just the Manager who was being asked to consider his position was it? I clearly heard others from the club being singled out!

I have a hunch you would have gone through to the next round if Hanlon hadn't been given the push.

Desperate times call for desperate measures but the chairman was just too hasty. If Ricthie Hanlon had remained at the helm and the club had been eliminated it would have been completely right to give him the push today. Even RH couldn't have had any qualms about that decision if they were knocked out under his tenure. As it is, we'll never know. It is only a hunch as I said earlier but Hanlon had already managed a Saints side that beat Bishops Stortford this season which is a feat that Lord Lippy didn't manage in 2006/07!

Bring on the Setanta Shield!

If Eyre hadn't been sent off the Thurrock game would have been winnable even though St Albans City were a goal down. If it hadn't been for Elphick's red card at Bath that game could have ended in draw at least. If the Saints had got 4 points or even 2 from those games two games he wouldn't have got the push and confidence would have been high going into the FA Cup game. I'm not saying you would have won the tie but you would have had a better chance without the distractions off the field.
