Changes for the SSML setup?

That shows St Mags and Brimsdown in the Essex Senior? So if Hoddy were promoted would put them in the same boat?

Are you trying to be provocative, Football Man? Hertford to ESL to permit the more easterly Hoddesdon to stay in SSML?

Also , another has not factored in the possible forced relegations required when the "F" grading criteria for Step 5 clubs bites at the end of this season. Several of our Premier Division sides will struggle to retain their places merely on ground grading issues, and perhaps that applies to some ESL side also?

Well, all Step 5 Clubs have to complete a questionnaire right now - it is comprehensive. Whether the powers that be will enforce the grading requirements remains to be seen.

Because, when clubs merge, fold, or take voluntary relegation, the FA seem more interested in reprieving clubs at the bottom of the Step 4 leagues than promoting those at the top of the Step 5 leagues to fill the gap. Their motto appears to be "promote failure above success" and yet they still wonder why the national team hasn't won anything of note for 41 years!

Football Man - The priority given at the end of this season is to Step 5 Champions, not Step 4 relegation candidates. They'll be a bit of a mish mash if the proposed loss of two Step 5 Divisions happens. The numbers between relegation and promotion won't add up and a feeder pool of clubs will be allocated geographically appropriate leagues.

So what happens to Step 6 clubs?

They will still have to travel further than Step 5 clubs despite being in the same leagues?

You would have thought that the reshuffle would have been dealt across the step and leagues level.

Looking at the map, a good number of SSMFL clubs in Division 1 are North of Luton. Would that mean that under the same criteria, these clubs would not belong to the SSMFL?
