US District Court Judge Colleen Kollar-Kotelly ruled that the Washington Redskins can keep their name and logo, reversing an earlier decision that the trademarks disparaged native Americans. She ruled that the earlier decision was "unsupported by substantial evidence, is logically flawed and fails to apply the correct legal standard to its own finding of facts".

Some things need to be done, I agree, but they really have gone to extreams lately. Can't do this, can't do that, mustn't do this, only minorities are allowed to do that (MOBO's, 100 Greatest Black Britains, etc).

It just annoys me beacuse it shouldn't be necessary and the govt takes it far too far.

Another thing - builders woolf whistling. What harm did this do? It was a bit of fun and made me laugh when I heard it done. Not allowed to do it anymore as it is considered sexual harrasment or something equally ridiculous.

Then there's the compensation culture. £20,000 for a boy who broke his arm after playing silly-bu**ers on a swing. Thankfully, on appeal the judge told the family to pay it back. The mother said it was a disgrace as it wasn't the money they were after but to make sure the school/council were held responsible. So you won't mind giving back the money then? Or will that mean trading in the new car and cancelling your holiday? It wasn't even the schools/councils fault! It was an accident. They do still happen in this day and age, though granted very rarely as someone is always willing to blame if it means getting a bob or two in the process. It was his fault, or it was her fualt. No it wasn't. Accept the fact that these things happen and get on with your life you moaning, selfish, lazy so-and-so.

Sorry, gone off the point there haven't I. <img src="/images/graemlins/ignore.gif" alt="" />

Quality rant LMU! This country is turning completely stupid.

If I trip up on the stairs at work, I could sue my employers for thousands of pounds even though it was most probably an accident.

Or how about me sueing my employer because I became so emotionally scarred at being shouted at by angry customers? Hmm I might take that one up!!

Well considering the stress I have to put up with, with the sheer amount of work and screaming customers, I should be paid a lot more!

What about the asylum seeker who has been awarded £15,000 damages, AFTER being convicted of a sexual assault on an old age pensioner ??

Apparently, his interrogation convened the Human Rights act.

Now I KNOW I'm living in a bloody weird country !

Tony Martin for Prime Minister, I say !!
