Would everybody still give Roy Essendoah another chance against Exeter, or did we see enough last week. Does anyone think that he needs a chance to settle, and who would you partner with him upfront. Rob Haworth? Louie Evans? Ben Abbey?!
What team would people play against Exeter? My line up would be:
O'Reilly
Skinner Moore Shearer Gledhill
Owen Protheroe Perkins Drury
Haworth Essendoah

Bench:Slade (we need a keeper on the bench for cover), Lee, McClements, Evans, Pinnock

What does everyone reckon. It's open to as much criticism as you can be bothered to give!!!!!

Is Abbey still out injured? If so when is he back? You have to feel sorry for him, he was in good form and his confidence growing all the time before his injury.

Do you rally want 3 forwards on the bench. Mayby swap pinnock for mayby for Mcclements or a center mid.

My 1st team would be though:
O'reilly
Skinner
Moore
Shearer
Gledhill
Owen
Protheroe
Perkins
Drury
Abbey
Essendoh (1st half, swap if having a poor game by half time)

Haworth looked awesome in the reserves game last night, as did our little no.11 (no team sheet so no names, I'm afraid). Reminded me of Tosty at his best, skill-wise, but with a lot more pace and aggression. Played right wing, definately one for the not too distant future. Oh, by the way, I left slightly early and we were beating Dagenham 3-0. Final score, anyone?

I think that the starting line-up will be:

The team that Andy thinks most suitable for the fixture.

Hmmmm - I'm getting the hang of 'stating the obvious'!

I realise its a long hike from North Devon Bloodnock and you probably don't get to watch as many matches as you would like but that doesn't excuse you benching Rob Haworth.
The question shouldn't be which two will play up front but rather who will play alongside Haworth....I'd like to see Louie play but I don't think there is a lot in it.
I hope that with McKimm suspended Perkins gets another chance as two months ago he was playing as well as anyone.

Of course we did Fleet boy - didn't you see new to the game's 'Today's game' thread?

To be honest, I agree with Slarti on the subject of Haworth. Choosing his strike partner is tougher, though - it's really too close to call between Essandoh and Abbey. Essandoh has to be in contention - although he wasn't brilliant against Stevenage, if we freeze him out completely after only one game we might be missing out - we just don't know for sure yet.

And Evans??? Sorry but Essandoh comes on for 20minutes at the end when Haworth is tired.

Surely Evans (or Pinnock, for that matter) should play more an attacking midfielder role rather than a forward one?

OK I concede a point about Haworth, when iv'e seen him he's worked his balls off for the team, it's just that as weve got Essendoah we may as well use him,he's only played once and it's likely that he's similar to Haworth, good in the air, though probably not got his workrate,I just felt that a smaller more pacier man should play off him,if he don't work out bring Haworth on.
I agree that Pinnock should play in midfield rather than upfront, and definitely Perkins worth his place, and OK I have to bow to other peoples opinions on Evans as theyv'e seen him more than I have, but on the two occasions iv'e seen him I wasn't impressed, but i hope he proves me wrong one day.
