Agree. Great, also a goal from Jefferson Louis. Can we see him making the starting line-up against Stevenage, and can we also see Fordy trying to sign him in the near future?

And to think we should have won those first 2 games as well !!

Mind you, all 5 teams we have played are in the bottom half of the table, so we mustnt grow our expectations too much at this stage.

We can but hope, though !! Only Barnet, Carlisle and ourselves unbeaten at this stage as well..

Come on boys, you know you can do it !!

I went on holiday just before the season started, posting a message saying I'd be delighted to return today to find us still undefeated, & with 9 points. Well, we are still undefeated, are the league's top scorers & have 2 more points than what I saw as a slightly optimistic target.

Well done, everybody. Now all we have to do is send Mr Westley away in a very unhappy frame of mind on Saturday & I won't even mind about going back to work (well not much, anyway.)

A good day out all round, Fleet looked impressive at times yesterday.

The first 20 minutes or so were scrappy,as Fleet seemed to be trying to get some sort of rhythm into their game, but kept the ball in the air far too much, when it was obvious that using the dribbling skills and pace of 2 or 3 players would have paid dividends.

The 1st goal seemed to settle us down, created by Manny controlling the ball in the box and laying it into the path of Andy, who took it really well driving into the far corner.

Manny once again proved a handful in the box and he was soon brought down resulting in a penalty,Skins blasting an unstoppable shot in the top corner.

2nd half and FGR pulled a goal back, and it was sloppy defending, failing to clear the ball when the opportunuty presented itself.

Fleet began to hit back and when Protheroe(I think)hammered the ball across goal only to see it hit the far post,Skins collected the rebound and planted a cross into the area where Roy had an easy job of placing a header for Fleets 3rd.

Then Andy was sent clean through to score an almost carbon copy of his 1st goal, and Fleet began to knock the ball around with obvious confidence, bringing Jefferson on was a good move as FGR were there for the taking by now, though they showed some spirit for a while, and once a ball was knocked past Jefferson to run on to there was only ever going to be one result,Fleets 5th.

Surey worked hard, clearing up the loose balls and the bits and pieces so neccesary in midfield,Macca seems to be getting some of his old form back and worked hard, Proths was very tactically aware and played well at first in midfield then at right back after Porter was subbed.

Drury looked class at times he is improving all the time, and as iv'e already said he took his goals really well,he was unlucky not to get a hat trick as he received a great ball from Skins, and volleyed it first time really sweetly and it flashed past the far post.

According to fellow supporters the team played far better against York so to score 5 and have room for improvement is no bad thing.

1st visit today and according to the regular fanes it was our worst perfomance of the season!!!!.

FGR were shocking and IMO will go down no fans and no money seems to be the problem.

Impressed with the new lads today Manny was pure class, his pace scared the pants of the FGR back 4.

Will be at the Hereford game

see U all there.

I think after the next 2 games that will give us a good yardstick to see how far we have come.

looking at the bench yesterday, we seem to have cover in most areas. If the situation regarding Shearer is correct in that he has falled out with AF we might need some cover there but Jay fitted in well for the last 15 when Porter went off
