How do those work exactly?

I'm sure he's under contract.

Not heard anything about it and i very much doubt he will be going anywhere (his dad is our chairman) unless they are offering him silly money.

matt if he is under contract then he cannot go anywhere.

if he is not under contract then a team wishing to sign him must alert his current club that they wish to do so with a '7 day approach'.

this gives the players current club 7 days to persuade him to stay with either extra money or other means.

after 7 days it becomes legal for the persuing team to make an offer to the player.

contracts can obviously be ripped up bt mutual consent.

Sorry i forgot i read about this in Saturdays programme, Harlow did indeed make an approach for Rugg and Redbridge came in for Clydie Roberts, glad to say both players said they wanted to stay at Canvey.

Signing to play for a club and signing a contract with a club are different things, if he was on contract i don`t think Harlow would have come in for him.

That's true, but in this case I remember being told that, that was his contract on the table and not just a registration form.

Still he and Clyde, (and now Chris Bourne it would seem) are staying put.

Great news about Roberts and Rugg. Both have been in excellent form recently.

Why would they want to leave us? We're playing well and clearly have no intention of sticking around at this level, be it this season or next that we get promoted.
We've tasted the Conference life and we want to get back there. I'm glad Ruggy and Roberts are longer sighted than to leave us mid-way through the first season of this version of CIFC.

No, unfortunately I didn't get to experience the no Sky as I only ventured into the bar to use the lavvy.

We know all about players who are in it for the money. Had a few of them recently.
