Done you a couple of favours in the last 2 weeks by beating Hanworth and Hartley. Tough Tough game this weekend against Westfield.

westfield are a good outfit who battle hard they beat us at there place 3-1 i think on a friday night

cc not looking to go up this year need another season in div one to sort out off the pitch stuff and get the structure spot on before we press forward

plans are in for lights , stand and fence off the pitch to those outside and also a 3rd generation astro pitch complete with lights for training and community use , so things are looking good for us at the moment and the team is not really firing on all cylinders and we are still churning out 4 goals a game so happy days

Yep - Mark Peters ex Southampton, Brentford etc - scorer of great goals (ask Hartley Wintney) but lazy.

 

Purdy is up 2 levels at Godalming - still clattering keepers though!

Saw him playing for Walton & Hersham earlier this season (scored a lovely deft header). He's far too good for CCL 1 level, although does appear lazy and moody at times. When he signed for his short unhappy spell at AFCW someone linked the Basingstoke forum where he was defending himself against being lazy, saying he prefers to conserve energy rather than chasing lost causes! I had my doubts from that moment, but he's got talent for sure. He went on to Frimley that season and scored loads from memory, but that was in the prem.

yer i was manager at frimley green when mark first came to the club what a goalscorer but once told me that he didnt make any tackles well not at this level and not a great mixer with the other players he should be playing rym1 or above

both players are good but you must want the game to be better than the rest

thats why peters is playing at frimley instead of the saints

glad to see purds doing well , great talent just needs to be put in the right direction
