Friends of KG playing fields meeting

Just a reminder that the "Friends" of KG playing fields meeting is at 7PM on Monday the 21st of July in the rugby clubhouse next to the QE Stadium. The "Friends" latest note in one of the entrance notice boards now wants people to attend who live in the streets around the playing fields. Lets hope this is their last territorial demand in Enfield.

Does that imply a criteria for admission to the meeting/ability to be a 'Friend'? Seems a bit discriminatory to me.

Thanks for that DOY..and the article also mentions that 1893 have been in talks with ETFC about the possibilty of having one single club representing Enfield..If only they had been willing to get round the table in any of the previous 7 years. The application for the QE would have been a lot easier and a lot stronger as one single club..1893 have finally and belatedly come to the table,(maybe because they sense the chance of them securing the QE for themselves now looks less likely)..Its a welcome move by both parties, never the less.

'Friends' of King George playing fields only want those who live in the streets around the fields? I'm a friend and love the fields but cant attend cos I dont live round there.

Sounds like an unfriendly organisation to me thats not inclusive of all

Please see the earlier thread "a meeting".
Don't want to put a dampener on all this, but we seem to be repaeting old news on here,( again and again ).
