Really disappointed with the attendance. Our turn out was ok but I really thought the Cray Wanderers supporters where going to be more up for this.

"OK"? It was the KSC Final, it was a Saturday afternoon, it was a local (well, local-ish) game - 40 mins in car, it was only a fiver... Shockingly low attendance from BOTH sets of fans - shows how little they view the competition. Good to see the club viewed is as a proper game, with a full-strength side out tho

Same with me. I very impressed!

 

Mind you I celebrated by having an extra pint and a burger so I suppose you could say they had their moneysworth out of me!

I wonder if this isn't an approach we should consider for the future (after we get the losses reigned in)? There's probably a study somewhere that will suggest an optimal ticket price versus extra purchases in the ground. It may be that improving our food offerings and lowering the ticket prices a bit could result in greater net income.

David, fair enough. I overlooked the obvious on that one. Would it be different if it had been a home game? I made a suggestion a while back that we should adopt a policy of always meeting the lowest ticket prices of anyone else in the league we currently play in. That way if we go up (or...gasp...down), we have the flexibility to change them but using the same policy.

 

I made that suggestion when I was more confident in MyFC's staying power and the expected ongoing cash flow. I hope it still proves to be so, but it's obviously going to be a challenge.
