Yes bottom four from each should be relegated, yes, but because of other clubs in trouble this might make way for a reprieve.
I'm only telling you what KP announced.Others will confirm this later I'm sure.I listened very carefully & I didn't hear him say "might" be reprieved.
I'm positive he said "will" be reprieved.(I may have misheard). He obviously knows more about this than we do to have made that announcement.
However,I don't want to raise too many hopes going by what was said as many things can happen from now on that might scupper this scenario i.m.o.
We just have to make sure of staying up ON the pitch next week at Staines & hope we do better than Boreham Wood.Do that & it won't enter into the argument anyway.

According to KP, yes they have agreed to stay on for next season - got a really large cheer in the room!

Also said they'd announce their retained list soon (probably a few days after the Staines match).

For what its worth ( smile ) the first half we were lucky to go in 1-0 nil up, but the second half we were by far the BETTER team. They are a successful passing unit but they have the same problem we have - they couldnt FINISH and if truth be known we are in an unrealistic/unnecessary postion - meaning if we had have won against harrow/Heybridge we would NOT be depending on other teams results. Ill be there SAT and so should ALL true MFC fans...... CMON on u BLUES

Must mention the attendance today at 620. Don't know how many Sutton bought but still a great turnout, and an encouraging seasons average for a club in the bottom half for most of the season.

Just been looking at the figures and in the last 15 games we have picked up 24 from a possible 45 which is over 50% of points available. If that had been reflected throughout the season we would have been on 63 points now sitting in a play off position. We have also taken over 50% of our seasons total points in the last 15 games with one game still to play. Quite a turnaround. If only we had not fluffed Harrow and Heybridge.

It was a very good home turnout considering the position we are in. Probably 100 or so from Sutton.

Keith said as both Team Bath and Fisher are dropping leagues, it means that 2 out of the 3 4th bottom teams will get a reprieve and at the moment we are top of the 4th bottom ones, if that makes sense?

Cheers for the additional info Alan. Must admit I didn't hear him say TWO teams.Even better in that case as it looks like TWO back doors are available to us now then.Obviously, to win it on the pitch would be much better & of course a better guarantee.

I still maintain, we need to do this on the pitch.

Fisher are in a relegation spot anyway,so unless they are prepared to drop two divisions (or get wound up next week )they would not make a difference.

I just think we should be very very cautious in hoping for a reprieve
