Moles 1 Cambo 4

Cambo ahead after 4 minutes through Adam Cornell. Moles levelled things on 25 with an Owen Bent tap in. Molesey keeper gifted Cambo the second with a "Robinson" airshot. Tap in for Gavin Muir. Cornell hit Cambo's third just before the break. Cambo sat back in the second half caught Moles on the break for 4-1 with 20 to go. Well placed header for Muir. Scoreline a bit flattering but Cambo worth the win. Was told Moles played better than Saturday so expect better things to come from The Walton Road Stadium

Which one of the ex-lammas players at Bedfont?

We had a great start with Frimley last year. I jope the players that Cookie and Titch have will last the course unlike the bunch we had last year who lost interest.

Went down to Knaphil vs Frimley - Expected to see the much talked about Knaphill beat FG but quite the opposite , Frimley were by far the better side and it could have been alot more. Knaphill had a 15 minute spell in the second half when they made one or two changes but overall they were poor. Not what we expected from a team everyone has been saying will win the league. (Maybe just a bad day at the office)

Then went down to see my old team beat my older team good result for Cove only saw the second half and was a scrappy encounter but i hear from others it was comfortable apart from the last 5 mins when Ash scored.

Feltham for Hartley tonight 3 pts and we go top! smile

Assume you were there last night then Nuts?

As already said further up it could easily have finished 5 or 6 each. IMO a draw was a fair result but still gutted having taken the lead 3 times and the last coming as we entered injury time.

Don't think either side played to their full potential (I know we didn't) but still managed to score 3 and take a point at the current champions and don't think too many did that last season!!

BTW the ref was a joke......to both sides!!

WENT TO WATCH A GOOD ENERGETIC GAME WITH SOME FINE FOOTBALL BEING PLAYED. YOU'RE RIGHT KP NUT THE SCORE DID FLATTER CAMBERLEY SOME WHAT IN A VERY COMPETATIVE MATCH. FEEL SORRY FOR MOLESEY MANAGEMENT. ONE ONE CAN LEGISLATE FOR THE 4 MOLESEY DEFENSIVE MISTAKES WHICH WASN'T APPARENT WHEN I SAW THEM IN PRE-SEASON BECAUSE THEY LOOKED HARD TO BREAK DOWN, SO CANNOT SEE WHY THEY HAVE LET IN 8 GOALS IN 2 GAMES, ESPECIALLY WHEN TOLD BY ELF MOLE THAT MOLESEY HAD ONE OF THE BEST DEFENSIVE RECORDS LAST SEASON. IT MUST BE SAID THAT MOLESEY HAD THEIR CHANCES AS WELL, SO IT WASN'T AS ONE SIDED AS IT MAY APPEAR, BUT IN MY OPINION, CAMBERLEY JUST DESERVED TO WIN, DUE TO STRIKE FORCE, BUT THEIR DEFENCE LOOKS SHAKY. CAMBERLEY KEEPER LOOKS GOOD AND FEEL THEY WILL BE IN THE MIX AT THE END OF THE SEASON. MOLESEY A BIT DISAPOINTING BUT CAN SEE THEY HAVE SOMETHING WHICH WILL UPSET ALOT OF TEAMS, BUT NOT LOOKING THE TEAM FROM PRE-SEASON ON THE EVIDENCE OF LAST NIGHTS PERFORMANCE. REITERATE, LOVELY CLUB, NICE PEOPLE AND NICE GRUB

Bookham 1-3 Epsom & Ewell

Bookhams tough start to the season continued facing last seasons 4th placed team after facing the runners up in the opening game.

2 soft 1st half goals gave Epsom the lead the 1st slightly against the run of play but if you give Burns space in the box he'll score, the second from a free header from a corner as Bookham had created some good chances and the visiting keeper Borg making 2 great saves in the 1st half.

Bookham's cause looked lost when a mis-placed pass allowed Epsom to break and Burns completed his hatrick.

Bookham pulled 1 back from Martin Smith with 20+ to go and had a good 15 minute spell putting plenty of pressure on the Epsom defence and Borg making 2 more great saves.

Good football from both sides at times plenty for Bookham to be positive about competing well against one of the top sides only to give the goals away with errors that can hopefully be resolved.

Epsom do look a good side going forward but I though shaky at the back but with Borg in goal the have one of the best stoppers in the league.
