Croydon 1-3 Westfield aet only just got home

Exceptional performance from us in the circumstances with so many out but the others who stepped in did very well. We also played the first twenty five with ten and that included myself. At least the pitch is flat now! Friendly chat with the guys after. Nice club

Nigel nice too meet u guys after in the bar,you deserved the win,and it was a great team performance by your boys.At times you totally outplayed us,and best of luck in the next round.Croydon Municipal have a lot of sorting out to do on the playing side,there is no harmony in the team at the moment.But your side were a credit to non league football,organised ,efficient,and kept your shape throughout the game.The Officials although not always correct were consistent,and I bought them a drink in bar afterwards.In the game at your place,I was the lino,tonight I was ball boy,took some stick from your No 2.As for the remark about the pitch being flat,you should take that back,as our groundsman works hard to provide a good playing surface,and ours is definitely better than yours.

You're welcome! Any idea why kick off was a few minutes late, were Wembley delayed getting there? Also, we had an extended half time meaning we didn't finish til about 9.50 and that with no stoppages to speak of!

I don't think the referee realised how far back to the pitch he had to walk from the Spectrum bar !

The Reserve played well to win the game against Coulsdon United Football Club from the Combined Counties League, on a cold damp night at Kiln Brow. Which saw all the committee walk out of the ground before kick off. Giving the Reserves no support!

Not sure about the kick-off, but we were all surprised by the amount of injury time - the second half lasted 52 minutes! I'm led to believe it was to compensate for the balls not getting back into play fast enough... which is probably my fault for being a rubbish ball boy.

I think there have been rumblings and grumblings at Kiln Brow now for some weeks.

 

It MAY have something to do with a 'toilet' incident, allegedly !!
